Default Illuminations on "Rose Hill"

Just a little tip I thought I'd share with all the "kid-less" travellers to EPCOT...

If you've seen Illuminations from every conceivable angle here's a spot with a more private (i.e. removed) feel to it. In Future World between the Character Spot and Imagination pavilion is a little rose garden on the hill overlooking the reflection pond & Nations bridge/walkway. It's where they erect the sculpture garden during Flower & Garden festival.

Get a couple glass of champagne/wine/beer, sit on the walkway (there are also benches at the bottom facing the reflection pond. You'll hear the music in the distance, see all the high fireworks and even catch good glimpses of the ball as it draws nearer. Best yet the crowd usually is far away.

After fireworks you can stay on your hill watching the grand exodus out of the park but far removed. If there's EMH that night, you're also in a great launching spot for Soarin'.

My dad and I hung out there one of our last night's at F&W this year. We had a picnic of F&W treats and a couple glasses of Rose Nectar Champagne to toast the loving spirit of my mom. (She's the one who blessed us with the travel bug.) Afterwards we hit Soarin' and Seasons for one last ride and dessert.

Great advice, I'll definitely take advantage of it at some point. Thanks for posting.

I know the area, but not specifically where you're talking about.
Which hill & which reflecting pond?
