Default Help with girlfriends trip.

I was going solo to F & W but have convinced 2 of my best girlfriends to come up for 3 nights on Oct. 15 to 18.

Unfortunately they don't share my enthusiasm for Disney (imagine that) so I've got to come up with things to entertain them.

Any suggestions?
We'll be staying at Kadani village.

I was thinking:
Jelly Rolls
Maybe the Luau at Poly
Possibly a spa day.
Spending time at the hotel pool if not too cold.
They won't do the Mickey Halloween party.
They only want to do one day of F & W which will be Saturday the 17th.

What else can I do other than eating out?
They don't want to do the parks.

Thanks for the help.

I hope this doesn't sound too corny but, if I were taking friends that (assuming) have never been to the 'world' before, I'd take them on a tour of the monorail resorts. You can introduce to them something special from each resort, eg. Polynesian and Kona coffee....

I would take them to DTD then take a leisurely boat ride to Port Orleans, where they'll see SSR, OKW and the THV's along the way.

There is also the Characters in Flight balloon ride at DTD.

I'm sure you'll have fun whatever you do!

Another option, of course, is to go somewhere else with them (somewhere all will like) and go to Disney with people who'll appreciate Disney.

Cheers.

From the sound of it, why are they going to Disney. If they dont want to do MK especially MMNSHP (that is a travesty). . But since you are limited since they closed PI, take them for tea at the Grand Floridian. It is so lovely. I think a very nice girl thing to do. They have karaoke at the Swan it can be very entertaining if you like to hear people that think they can sing, sing. Sometimes you get a gem tho. Go to the premium outlets they have some signature designers. There is miniature golf, or go from hotel to hotel and drink. Narcooses has delicious raspberry Mohitos. Go downtown disney for Cirque du Soleil, that is really a wonderful afternoon or evening. House of Blues is another great place, Bongos has entertainment. Good Luck I am sure you will get many more ideas. Too bad they don't want to do the parks, oh well, find comfort in the fact that all of us here at Mouseowners Love Disney as much as you.

Actually none of my friends love Disney like I do. Even my family thinks I'm nuts but I don't care. As for my friends going with me, it's because it's my birthday and I think they are just being nice. Whatever, I'll take what I can get.
Afternoon Tea sounds very neat. I'll keep that in mind definetely. Maybe on our spa day.
Cirque du Soleil also is a great thing to do. I've been wanting to go but no one would go with me before so maybe I'll guilt them into it.
House of Blues might be good too. Haven't been there myself yet either.
Thanks for the great suggestions.

We tried to go somewhere else but one of them has a sick mother who is homebound and under nursing care so she is afraid to go more than a day's journey from home "just in case". So they agreed to try Orlando since it's only 4 hours from home.

Jellyrolls is a good idea as well as a spa day. I would suggest heading over to Universal City Walk as well.

ETA: Cirque is a MUST they'll love it! Also just hanging out at Disney's West side. You could just bar hop. Hit House of Blues, Bongos, Wolgangs, the Irish place (name escapes me......might be that last glass of wine ), a drinking your way around the "World" sort of thing. Throw in a nice meal to soften the blow.

Enjoy this time with your friends!

Actually not corny at all. In fact I kind of take for granted all the neat stuff for a first timer (actually it's not their first time but they definetely don't go as much as I do). I'll keep all those things in mind. And the balloon ride sounds like fun. Haven't done that yet. Thanks.
