Excuse my naivety, but this will be a first time with a car. Where is Crossroads?
Its really easy.
As you head out of the Disney area on Buena Vista Drive, and say Typhoon is on your right and Downtown will be on your left, Buena Vista intersects with Hotel Plaza Drive. Its a massive intersection at the entrance to DTD, you can't miss it.
Head onto Hotel Plaza Drive and follow this for maybe one-half mile where it ends at I-535. At that light just cross I-535 and head into the Crossroads Shopping Center.
Goodings is a decent size grocery store in that center. Some say its a tad pricey but the location is ideal.
From SSR its probably 5-8 minutes.
Others can directed you to Publix and WalMart from there as well, but for me its too far to save a few bucks.

Just don't tell dh there's someplace cheaper on me! ;)
Exactly, its vacation afterall and how much time are you really gonna have to comparison shop, or really need to buy, right?
We didn't really find it expensive, compared to home where we don't have a Publix or WalMart. So for us it was just about the same.
BTW their fresh breads were great and their coffee stinks.

I *believe* Winn Dixie also sells Yeungling !!
Having been introduced to it by and in some good friends in Gettysburg -- I agree, it's GREAT! :):):)

I agree that pinching pennies on vacation isn't fun, but oh my goodness I couldn't believe how expensive Goodings was!!! For something like a 6-pack of Yuengling, I am sure it is great, but if you are buying groceries, then go elsewhere!
If you are doing major grocery shopping, then I would recommend the Walmart (instead of going across the street into Crossroads, turn right, go back under the interstate and its on your right) or Winn Dixie (instead of going across into Crossroads, go left and its down on the right) or even Publix (check my "where is Publix" thread for directions - I haven't driven them yet, so not comfy trying to repeat them here for others).
Just remember to get to Crossroads to begin with, go in front of Downtown Disney away from the parks and you will basically dead end into it (you cross the street at the Disney exit to enter Crossroads). I am totally directionally challanged in Orlando (that city is laid out very differently and I can't quite get it for some reason) so I use landmarks -= - like coming out of SSR, down to where DTD is on your right, you would turn left there to go to Crossroads <----Laura directions lol
Hope I didnt just make the clear directions TW1 gave above VERY confussing. :beaniepro

Ha ha ha! A gal I can certainly relate to!!! I love Yuengling!!!
BTW, Cobbler....Yuengling is a brand of lager brewed here in Pottstown, PA. In the last couple of years they've also opened a brewery in FL.
It's tasty! I find it ironic that they don't price it the same as other domestics in WDW. They treat it as a foreign brand. LOL

It is my understanding that Pennsyltucky is *NOT* a state!
Perhaps that is why the state of FL, considers it imported!

I'm ashamed to say that I did not get to try a Yeunling. We never went off Property, except dh to church. We finally had a rental car and a fridge, but never got groceries. So sad.... :tearsaref I hope I have not let everybody down too much. ;)
How did I miss this thread? Geez, I gotta wander away from Community Hall a little more frequently.
Believe it or not, I have no idea where to get a Yuengling in the world. I will be going in May and will make it my personal quest to research this question, even if I have to drink 31 Yuenglings to do it.

Rash when will you be down in the World? This could be the first Mouseowners meet! Between Mar, CB, Matsygranma, myself and (I think) Simbas Mom going the first week of May there could be some serious Yuengling's being ummmm... enjoyed !
I'm reposting my directions to the Goodings Supermarket in Crossroads Shoppiing Center where I found the golden elixir of life.

Maybe our Mouseowners homepage can contact a Where's the Yuengling page and memebrs can post exactly where they found them in and out of the world?

This is really quite embarrassing!
Not only have I never had a Yeungling, I didn't know it was brewed in
Pottstown, Pa. And I am a Pennsylvania yeungin born and raised.
So it will be a MUST in MAY. Speaking of: gee Rash, we are all leaving May 6, just when you are getting in. Anyway you could come a couple days early? We've gotten to be such a big group that we are on calendar under EVENT status. Wish you could come join us for a Yeungling and a little horsing around.
a little horsing around.
Careful Rash, last time there was some horsing around I seem to recall you were locked in an attic somewhere!
You could take that new Mustang for a "little" spin and pop in a day early. Sounds too good to miss!

Hey TW1: was it really a horse locked in the attic? So long ago, I clear forgot.
I thought maybe we would try locking him in the Paddock at SSR.....can't quite figure out how to get him in the attic...way too crowded in there!
