View Full Version : Questions about AP DVC voucher? Renewing DDE

I wanted to get our DVC AP vouchers but had a few (probably stupid!) questions.

1. Our old AP's expired 12/05 and were not purchased through DVC (darn discount came out 2 weeks after we got them). I didn't want to renew them at the time because our next trip probably wouldn't be until May. Will we get the DVC discount for "new" AP holders?

2. I cannot renew our DDE card (which expires in May 2006) until I have an actual AP, right? Vouchers are not accepted, right? If that is the case, is there a way to renew the DDE card when we get our "real" AP's at the gate? (Although, our DDE card will still be good until the end of May, so it shouldn't be a problem. Just asking in case we don't get down there before it does expire)

3. How much is one DDE card (w/ AP) these days?

OK, I think that's it. Thanks again for your help!!!

You can absolutely buy your new APs in May with the member discount.

Actually you can buy the DDE card with an AP voucher. Just make sure that you elect to have a voucher sent to you and do not use the Will Call option. I've heard the Will Call purchase option just gives you some sort of purchase confirmation that DDE does not accept.

If your DDE cards don't expire until May 31, 2006 and your next trip is scheduled for May, you might not even want to renew at that time. Your old DDE card will still be valid and you can simply buy a new one before a subsequent trip, giving you 12 or 13 months' use of the DDE from that new purchase date.

I believe the DDE has gone up to $60 for one card and there is an additional $25 charge if you want a second card for a member of your family.

Thanks!

I only asked about getting the new DDE card b/c we aren't sure if we are going in May yet. We're planning on a Star Wars Weekend, but we have to see if DS will miss any school before now and then first. So, our next definate trip is in November and I want to be sure I have the DDE in hand and AP's by then.

Thanks again!!
