I just added the Dining Plan to my May trip with no problems. It is $37.99/adult per day. You pay for the plan when you check-in. I was also allowed to add it to a DVC reservation that I made for some friends of mine for a June trip.

Thanks for the update! Just curious, since you don't pay for it until you check in, can you cancel it before then?

Good question. I will have to call back and ask.

I have just about talked myself into this for our August trip! I too have the same question (about the cancel-at-last-minute issue).
Another question (or clarification), should you happen to know (or converse with someone who does! :) ):
Let's say you arrive on a Saturday, and will check out on a Sat. The plan requires that you get it for all members of your party, for your "entire stay". So does that mean you have to buy the dining plan for 7 "nights", or for 8 "days"? And what is the "expiration" on the plan meals (meaning, if you pay for 7 "nights" worth of dining, and you have an unused TS, could you use it on the check-out day for a breakfast, or would it have expired?)
If it works the way the old LOS passes worked, I would think that a coupon from your 6 "nights" of dining plan could NOT be used on your check-out day. I know they used to let you drop a day (either arrival or departure) from LOS passes - is the same true for dining plan? We usually leave in the morning - I can't see myself cramming a day's worth of meals into breakfast, LOL, so it would mean possibly having to absorb that day's meals earlier in the week, if that's the case.
The children's plan price is what's really attracting me. We have 2 Disney "kids" (and one kid who's an adult in Disney's eyes :( ) and they all LOVE HHDR. The cost of using 2 TS for HDDR is still cheaper than the $25 per kid cost for HDDR, and we get 2 CS and 2 snacks in the bargain! Gotta love that, even if we take home al the snacks as Mickey rice crispy treats...

Ok as far as the expiration and such.
It is based on the number of nights you are there, not days. So if you book a 7 night stay you receive 7 nights worth of TS, CS and snacks. They do expire but not until midnight of your check-out day. So if you check-out and still have one TS left and 4 snacks left, you can have bfast and grab those snacks to take for the ride home or whatever.
So you can start using them on your check-in day. Say for dinner or whatever.

Oh that really IS good news! :goodvibes We will already be in Orlando (doing some time on the dark side over at US/IOA) and plan to check in at OKW early on Sat morning. We could start using our TS right away! Knowing we could, if need be, stretch our TS or CS into a b'fast or lunch on the last day (and cash in any snacks ;) ) is a BIG help, too! I always liked eating a few dinners in the room when the kids were smaller, but now that they are older, all that grocery shopping and cooking is getting to be a bit of a drain on this Mom's vacation, LOL!
And if momma ain't happy.... :tsktsk: ain't NOBODY happy.

Our problem is wheter to use the credits on check-in day or check-out day.
