If I am already testing Mouse Manager, do I need to sign up again or do something different?
I LOVE having a program to use on my Apple. It means I can work on all my DVC stuff on my laptop while watching t.v.

No, though you should have received an email from me last night? Unless I somehow left you off the mailing?
The email would have told you to go to the Mouse Manager site and click in the "Download" link at the top of the screen and then on the link to continue in the page.
The email also contained the user name and password you'll need to get to the actual page to download.
If you did not get the email from me, you can get it from the Google Group. I put a new page up there. I'm also going to send you a PM with the info.

It sounds very interesting & helpful! Since I'm not a computer expert, I'm not sure I'd be able to use it easily? I definately can't wait to hear how others like it :)

I really like the program, but it is so different from the two I have used on my PC, that it took me a while to get my contracts set up the way I wanted and to get used to using it. Once you get everything set up the way you want, the program let's you do neat things, like put in a trip you hope to take, and it calculates the points and tells you at what date you can start booking. I like that. You don't have to go to several spots to get all the information you need for that trip.
If you are a mac user, you know how sorely a program like this has been needed.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. Just so everyone knows, Mouse Manager runs on Windows too!

Thank you for wanting to join the beta test.
You will receive and email from me with instructions for the next steps.
Because I work during the day, I don't respond until the evening as everything I need to log you as a tester, and my emails with instructions are on my machine at home.
I guess I'm not quiting my day job anytime soon:ROTFL:

Ok, I downloaded it today and have been playing with it for about 1/2 hour already. Works great! I've only been doing the vacation planning stuff right now but plan on adding to the DVC contract stuff soon.
Minor minor suggestion....I was putting in my Disney Cruie infomation for November but there was no choice for DCL in the "resort" menu. Not a big deal, I just used the "other". :)

Stimpy,
I’m glad you found “Other” which does let you add resort names (or in this case a “resort” that is really a cruise).
One note, what is currently in Beta testing is what will be Mouse Manager version 1.0 when it goes to public release (hopefully by the end of August).
Now I think you’re reading my mind, because I’m already starting to think about the NEXT version, and I am planning on supporting planning for cruises.
But first things first, I need to get version 1.0 out the door.

Yes. Go to the Google Group and join, I will then approve you as a member of the group. In the group you will find the instructions on how to proceed with the password.
I use the group as a control mechanism so I know who the real testers, and who I should be communicating with about new versions etc.
Unfortunately more people send me requests than are actually serious and follow through. Doing it this way helps me avoid sending out unwanted emails.
I think Ian has a serious winner here. I've been playing around with it the last couple of days and think it's fantastic. Thanks for letting your MO friends have the opportunity!!!

Just a reminder, when you fill out the beta tester form on www.mousemanager.com please be sure to double check your email address. I've had several with typing errors or incomplete email addresses, so I have no way of contacting you to let you know how to download the beta test version.
Thanks for all the interest.

I have been using this product for a week now and must say it really is GOOD. I have a few contracts and a couple of reservations and so have had the opportunity to put it through it's pace.

I love using MouseManager. It keeps my DVC points straight, along with all of my ADR's and Travel Plans. Before, I kept some of the information on Disneyworld.com, and some elsewhere.
One question: since I've been using the program all along, I didn't re-register when I downloaded the beta version. Should I?

I'm so happy that you like Mouse Manager :jumpingbe
Since Mouse Manager has been in testing all along, first Alpha and now Beta, I'm afraid every will have to register when the general release of Mouse Manager 1.0 happens (hopefully at the end of August).
That way, I'll know that they are "real" registrations, and I'll be able to keep my records straight, so I can alert people to news, new resources on the site, program updates and points updates.
As a matter of fact I know I'll be releasing points tables updates once 2008 rolls around.
