Is today soon enough?

Greetings, all! To those actually kind enough (or bored enough) to have been concerned about my whereabouts, thanks. All is well - seriously, things are good.

I took a break from the 'other' forums for several reasons: the main one is that I'm now (and was then in the process of) changing careers and I needed to focus a bit on the real world. I was a software engineer, but I am now going to the University of Phoenix to get my Masters in Education and my Arizona Teachers Certification - I'm going to teach Secondary (JH/MS/HS) Math & Technology. I'm currently subbing about 4 days a week - wooo, new respect for both full-time teachers and subs!

I also felt that things were getting a wee bit weird over in the other place (weirder than usual) and felt that a break seemed appropriate. And now that I've dipped my toesies back in that pool, it seems that I was right.

So the wise and kind tjkraz let me know about this little corner of the DVC universe, and - for better or for worse - here I am! It's good to see some familiar names and it'll be nice to learn some new ones.

OBDVC: Our next trip is this December. Two nights in a studio at OKW for MrsT & me, then four night in a 2BR @ SSR where our son (oops, DS) will be joining us. Since he's in Detroit & we're in Phoenix, someone has to fly somewhere for the holidays, so we thought that WDW would be a great place to celebrate.

Be well!

Welcome Home! Well, it's not really welcome home, so welcome back! Well, it's not really welcome back since this is a new site. Oh, Welcome here!

Sorry, just having a Hank Kimball moment. Anyway, it's good to know you are well, and I feel better knowing that the "future of America" is now in the capable hands of Dr. "Tomorrow".

Just think. If we had Greenban, it'd be like the Bermuda Triangle of DVCers!

It is really nice to have everyone around!

WOW!!! Welcome back Dr. Tomorrow! I am very glad to hear that things were not going badly for you or your loved ones. It does sound like you have taken on a big change in life (I am the only non-teacher in a whole family of teachers...2 Aunts, Mother, Step-Mother, 2 Sisters and one Uncle all have/do teach  ) so I can understand how getting a real glimpse inside that world as a sub can be eye opening.

Best of luck in all of your new adventures and I hope you stick around! The world (at least MY world) needs your sense of humor and insight. :D

Glad to see you back!

Dr.T!!! So glad you found us... okay I am glad tjkraz pm'd you and told you about us!

I am happy to hear about your change in careers. I think you will find teaching a rewarding way to spend most of your time. :-)

I taught for 5 years, and I have some of the fondest memories from that time in my live. Now I teach my three children with even better memories!

I see we are at WDW during the same time in December, maybe our paths will cross. I would love to put a face to the myth.

Actually I'd like to suggest that we track down ncligs aka Nick&Cindy@OKW and we'd be 4 for 4.
