Just a reminder that today's the last day you can sign up for or renew DDE with the '05 AP holder's discount. Starting tuesday, two cards will cost you $85 vs $ 50 if you call today. :)

How do we go about renewing them? Mine doesn't expire until after my next trip so should I even worry about it? I only need 1 card.

You can renew via phone, or sign up via the AP website. As to if it makes sense for you to do this--it may not. In my case I need the 2 cards (which will cost $25 in '06) also in my case my current card will expire in Feb.. So in effect I'm spending double ( About $8 ) for Jan/Feb -- but saving about $ 27 by buying now.

I didn't know we could renew the DDE over the website, I thought we had to call.

I just called and renewed my card. It will be effective as of todays date. The card that I currently have expires the first day of our May trip so this worked out great for me

then prompt 2

Just in case anyone is seeing this for the first time, like me, the DDE card is $60 for one year. A second card would be an additional $25. We always eat together so we wouldn't need the second card.
