What is the customary practice for tipping mousekeeping?
No tip? Tip at the end of your stay? (If so, how much?) Tip on T&T day?

We tip on T&T day and also leave a tip at the end of our stay. That way I figure I get the people that do the majority of the "work" concerning my stay that is actually in the room. (Although I do think we had the same mousekeeper for both days - which is nice too...she should get the benefit from taking good care of us in the form of a "thank you" tip).
If we are staying in a regular hotel on property, I tip a little every day (usually $5 for my family of 4). That way if there is a different person actually doing the cleaning each day, they all benefit individually.
I haven't decided if I will tip MORE for bigger units on T&T day, but I would definately tip more if we stayed long enough for a full cleaning.

My DH does origami, so I had him make a swan for T&T day ($5) and I can't remember our tip at the end, I think $10-15. We had a 1br villa for a week but we were very gentle users. We washed dishes, emptied trash and straightened most everything. :)

I tip at the end of the week (or whatever length of time I stay.

What a great idea! :)
Since we stay in a 1 bdrm, I usually tip $20 on a f/s day, and the same on the day we depart. I didn't use to tip on T&T days--until I got to talking with some of the mousekeepers as they did the T&T for us. It's a really hard job, very demanding (both by management and too often guests) so being the soft-headed type I am, I now do tip $10 to the T&T people.
Right or wrong, I don't know, but it makes me feel better.

We usually tip $5 on T&T day and then $10 (1 bedroom) or $15 (2 bedroom) on check-out day. Our most recent trip to OKW, we checked-out without leaving a tip (by mistake). I felt so bad when I remembered----2 days later---and drove back to OKW and left the tip in an envelope at the Front Desk.

I leave a tip and a small box of candy on the last day. I cancel trash and towel, prefer my room be left alone until I leave. I gave $15 (and the candy) for the 2BR I stayed in last trip.

What do you do to or with the candy so Mousekeeping knows it is for them??

I put the tip money around the candy. It's a sealed in plastic unopened box of candy, a small sample of russel stover.
BTW I also leave any unopened food for mousekeeping, with a note attached saying "unopened, help yourself".

I recall reading once on another board that they are allowed to, so I imagine they do. Not many folks would turn down free unopened food. Once when I was checking ot the guy who came to get the luggage saw some full bottles of soda and water on the kitchen counter and asked if I was taking the stuff with me. When I said no he asked if he could have it, so I gave it to him. :handshake

I have always given unopened food to someone who is just arriving as we leave. I was afraid they wouldn't be allowed to keep it. Good to know they can, so I will not feel bad about leaving unopened food behind. We usually throw away the remains of opened things ourselves, so they don't have to.

We don't tip mousekeeping as we tend to clean teh room during our stay they don't actually have much to do we leave a note not to change towels as we wash them every couple days and we take the trash out every morning on our way to the bus.
