I was in Mexico most of April. I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in my adventures, but I thought you might like a peek at some of the gorgeous Pacific Sunsets.
So here's the deal...I'll post a few and if you want more, just let me know!:tunes:

Actually, the bay is so deep that if I ever got up early enough I could have taken a sunrise from the same beach (and it would have come up over the mountains, but there would have been beach in the photo too!
So here's another sunset in paradise!

On my screen, when that pic loads, only the top 2/3'rds of the umbrella show.
I thought maybe you were at a topless beach.
Scrolling was a little disappointing.

Wow, I am speechless on those sunsets. How on earth did you drag yourself away? That pool, that is something from my dreams. I have only seen pools like that in travel magazines. That sunset, truly incredible. :sunny: I am so glad you had the opportunity to escape from reality and enjoy this slice of heaven!!!!!!!!

So here's a bit of the story that goes along with the photos:
I wanted to BUY a little piece of oceanfront for my dotage, but in PV prices were scary last year. INstead , I bought a couple of timeshares that allow me to spend
8 or more weeks in Mexico. I own at two resorts, and the photos you've seen so far have all been at Playa Del Sol Grande. Bandaras Bay is HUGE and the part of it that I was playing on is called 'Nuevo Vallarta'...a long sandy beach (about 4 miles) that is north of the city of Puerto Vallarta and runs from the Mayan Palace up to a little town of Bucerias. Bucerias is sort of what PV was like 30 years ago.
So on April 2 off I went! Nonstop flight about 2 hours and 45 minutes and a quick 20 minutes from the airport and I am THERE!..Paradise Village is almost like a bit of DIsney Resort...it's large and has a zoo with Tiggers, a bunch of swimming pools, lots of activities for kids and adults, a shopping mall (with an escalator) a bunch of tennis courts and a great spa. Oh yep...a golf course. And ocean front.
Here's a photo of sunset from my studio there, the first night: I call it RED SUNSET:

Wow...a brand new forum!!
Now I don't have to wonder if I should or shouldn't post a non-Disney trip report!
How cool is that!!!!!
BUt of course, now I have to at least post something other than photos! I will try not to bore you to death.
So, to continue, now that I've found my trip report(actually someone emailed me that there was this new forum...I would never have figured it out on my own, duh!!!!) ....
So...in addition to trying out my new timeshares (that I bought on EBAY), I was hoping to spend every day of 3 weeks playing tennis and beach volleyball and taking salsa and yoga classes to get rid of some weight around the midriff. A friend picked me up at the airport and had a cute sign 'LINDA" (we had only met once and were internet friends)...I felt so special!!! We checked in and ...just like DVC....the room was not ready. But I had used oceanfront points, so I was pretty sure that I'd have a grand view! We had some margaritas on the beach and I toured my friend around the resort. At 4...the room was still not ready. Now I was starting to get antsy. I wanted to unpack and just relax. I walked up to the room only to see that there was still room service dishes sitting in the hall...and ordered another drink, only to get lightheaded and kinda sick..ARGH. Finally I went back to the front desk and was told: oh the rooms been ready for a long time! (I guess the maids don't remove the room service trays.) Oh well..in the room and looked at the view and rested and unpacked. Watched the entire Mexican Fiesta activities from my balcony (open air seating @ the pool just below my balcony). At 9, I decided to hike over to the Mall and get some groceries and maybe grab a bite. The Mall is really impressive for Mexico...spankin new, escalators, art, stores, internet cafe, laundromat, and 5 restaurants: Brazil, the Jungle (international) , sushi, Italien, Mexican, Barbeque and yep..a subway and Baskin Robbins and McDonalds. !!!!! I walked around and ended up getting groceries and noshing in my room.
I don't have any pics of any of this...sorry. But the RED SUNSET pic was from my deck at Paradise Village Resort.
More tomorrow!

Thanks, Keith and Trina...check out part II, cuz there was an even better sunset the last week!!!!
Yep, Kathy...the room was big for a studio with 2 queen beds and a sofa . Full size kitchen, galley style and a large marbe bath. But the most important thing for me, is always the VIEW. Paradise Village has lots of activities that are free for owners. And a really delux spa..tho I didn't pamper myself this trip (hey, I've got a massage chair at home, remember!)
So...on to Part II!
