Hi all! We're planning our trip to WDW for the first week (starting on the 3rd) of Dec next year - and I've been excitedly telling MIL, FIL and DH that the crowds at the park are usually really low. But I've read elsewhere that the crowds have started to pick up that week, and that the Pop Warner kids are there at the same time. How was it this year? Still pretty empty? Don't want to get everyone excited about "no crowds" and then have it backfire!:goodvibes

Mostly giving you a bump.

We were there the second week of December last year. We never had what I would consider an excessive wait (FP when available + nothing longer than 20 minutes for standby), but there seemed to be a lot of bodies in the parks. Stands to reason that the decorations and other holiday events are keeping many people busy rather than rides.

Overall, I thought the parks were noticably busier than our early May trips (favorite time of year), but the waits didn't seem to be any worse. If my perception is correct, I'm guessing getting Dining Reservations early will be wise since everyone still has to eat. :)

We have not been there during that time of year, our friends say it is a great time to go as long as you do not mind that it might get cool - lower than average crowds

We will be there the same time as you next Dec we tend to go the same time each year and you are correct the crowds are very minimal. The pop warner kids are there but rarely seen at the parks as they have many other activities going on at the time. We have never waited more than about 10 minutes for a ride and those were Splash and Space MTN. The weather we have had has always been great we have not had a year yet that it was under 70 degrees all day and in the 60's at night we have had highs of almost 90 one year. You will love it this is truly the best time of year to go. We will be there from the 3rd to the7th then back on the 9th or 10th forget which and staying till the 15th.

We have gone Dec 96 99 01 03 in 98 we were there in Feb and that time of year was terrible nothing but rain almost every day and not very warm we were there for 3 weeks. This past May we went down and won't go again at that time of year either 90 degree days and 90% humidity forget it we are sticing to Dec from now on with teh exception of going to the Marathon.
