At 72 a point and 1156 points If Disney exersises ROFR they can split that total # of points up right? Why is it even being offered at 72/point? I thought that OKW was going resale for at least 75/point?
There is one listed for OKW at 80/point and 1000 points (plus 265 banked from '04)

Well, the seller doesn't care either way right? If it get bought by the purchaser or ROFR by Disney. It would seem like a big old bite for a buyer though since as you pointed out, we can't split contracts (I bet Disney can resell this one in any size contracts it desires).
Maybe Tom can answer that one without being specific about a particular contract :)

Hey to all my good friends,
It's been a while since I've been able to log in. Yes, the big one has been snapped up. I'll give you a hint. It's someone you all know!!! I'll have to let them make the announcement once it's completed.
Is everyone ready for the Holidays? We've been very busy at the store this month. Kind of a surprise as Dec is usually slower than Nov. Just the opposite this year.
Our customers have been stopping by the store to pick up their gift baskets. It's been so much fun meeting everyone. I've also gotten some very good feedback about the "Thank You" gifts as well. My wife was the one that put them together. After staying at BWV, she decided something more was needed to make it more luxurious at the resort.
We took our trip to Atlantis. WOW! WOW! WOW! It's really pricey but everyone should do it at least once. It makes Sea World look like a roadside attraction.
I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, so feel free to move it. I'm still not the greatest at this computer stuff.
I hope each and everyone of you has the happiest of holidays.
Sincerely,
Tom:sunny:

Tom, How frequently do you see these large contracts? I know there is another on your site, but I am guessing they are very rare - with most members in the 150 - 450 point range. With many of those and most larger having multiple contracts.
Now for some stratey on something like this. Is this rational? -- Disney would likely let this large contract go at a lower price than a much smaller contract because it would leave them with too much inventory and too much responsibility for dues in a sold out resort.
TheTimeshareStore
01-07-2006, 03:17 AM
We have seen an average of 3 large (1,000 or more pts) contracts a year. However, the longer the DVC is in existence the more we will see because of the sheer increase in membership.
Your theory on this passing ROFR is certainly a plausible one and I tend to agree with you. Here comes the however, Disney has been doing, shall we say, "out of character" things lately. I learned a while ago, the more I try to figure them out, the stranger things become. It just seems easier to try going with the "flow" and be prepared to roll with the punches.
Just let me know when you're ready for yours and we'll try to fix you up! :hyper:
