SSR 38.00 a night

Somone is reporting that SSR studios are on travelocity at 38.00 a night over christmas I am glad I won't be there at that time.

The rate was popping-up randomly for Christmas Day only.

I'm not sure what to make of it. Some people think it was a Travelocity error. Maybe, maybe not. Disney has a lot of rooms at SSR that have not yet been declared into inventory, which means they are able to rent them for cash. The small cash rate shouldn't have any inpact on our dues since the revenue wouldn't be classified as "Breakage."

Given the fact that this rate is appearing for just one night at a DVC resort that is known to have excess capacity, it may well just be a way to get people into the resort to give it a test drive.

You may be right it may also be a way of upping a drive for extra sales. People that stay there and see the place first hand can also go talk to a guide and ultimateley sign up for DVC.

Personally I am glad it is just for one night. Of course they may want to stay and have to pay full holiday price after that.

I don't have any ill will for those who have taken advantage of it but like I said I am glad it is just for the one night. We just dropped 18G to be DVC members and that is our home.
