Please tell me what to expect with a 2BR/2Queen villa at BCV? I'm almost done calling day by day to get one for our Nov trip (only have to add 11/10 and 11/11 on Monday! :bluebloun ) We've stayed in the 2 BR (dedicated) before.

Is there alot less room since there are 2 beds instead of a bed and fold out? Are the views ok or are they all facing the dumpster? Anything else really different than a "regular" 2BR that I'm not even thinking of? Anything I should request? I always request non-smoking for medical reasons and non-HA. I don't usually request a view, we've always been pretty lucky in that area, but I will ask for a better view if you think I need to.

Thanks!

We had a dedicated 2 bedroom villa with two queens in July. There was quite a bit of room in there!!! Total, we had 8 in this villa and the four that were in that 2nd bedroom were not cramped at all!!

We had a great view of Epcot. We could see part of IllumiNations. We also could see the Imagination Pavillion, I think it was.

There are a limited amount of these rooms (25) but you can get info on about half of them by reading the room reports. http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/beachclub.pdf

The file is in adobe acrobat and which can be downloaded from this site for free:

Thanks Sandy! That's actually the first place I looked. I had your site bookmarked from a while ago (I even contributed once LOL) but I couldn't get it to work last week. But I downloaded the newest adobe acrobat form the link you gave and it works fine now. Thank you again for keeping such a great list!!!

And don't forget to take a look at our comprehensive guide to BCV, put together by none other than the very well-known Beca, on our companion site. (You can also find all of Sandy's links on our site, on the respective resorts' "Guest Room" pages, near the bottom.)

You can find that BCV info here:

Enjoy!

Thanks Kim for the link to the mouseowners.com I've never regretted buying into DVC, but I do regret not being able to afford thousands of points!! :jumpingbe

I'll bite on this one... I've seem to have taken it as my mission to find all the ded. 2bdrms at BCV with 2 Q's. So far the ones identified are following the theory that the second bedroom of a ded 2 bdrm does not have a balcony door. Perhaps without the door they were able to fit the 2 queen beds and stay within the codes. So far there are 24 identified from reports but may be 2 or 4 more if all follow this theory. (So there may be 26 or 28 rooms) There are none on the first floor and only a few that are pool view. Most are on the third floor. There are a higher percentage of 2 queen rooms that would be epcot view then other catagories.

I think being able to reserve the ded. 2 bdrm w/2 queens is a hidden advantage of owning at BCV vs. BWV.

The rooms that I think may be dedicated 2 bdrm 2 queen rooms but don't have any info on are rooms:
301
304
334
354

Has anyone stayed in one of these??

Wow! We did have a dedicated, two bedroom with two queens at BCV room 442. We had three balconies.

At VWL, we had a dedicated, two bedroom with two queens, but the master bedroom didn't have a balcony, but the 2nd bedroom did.

Hummm... I do have 442 as a 2 Queen room as well but I'm curious about the balcony. That would blow the theory if your room had a balcony door off the second bedroom.

Here is a shot of the epcot wing facing the camera, from the parking lot side. The floor plans for the fourth floor have a studio as the first room where the wing connects containing the first window and balcony. The next three should be the dedicated two bedroom #442. Does this look like where you stayed?

Did you have any view of Illuminations from that room?

Oh man, now I'm really mas at myself! That picture is exactly where we stayed. I am so so sorry about that!! I was getting my resorts mixed up!! At the VWL, my niece popped out at the second bedroom balcony when I was on the living room one. At the BCV, we were there on the 4th of July and we didn't use the master bedroom one(the little one was asleep in the crib). I am so sorry for the confusion!!!

No biggie. After my second child I can't remember squat. Just wanted to know for sure.

So how was illuminations from that room? Could you see them from that angle?

Illuminations was LOUD!! Especially on the 4th!! WOW! I just wish I'd actually been in the park!! However, you could certainly see all the higher fireworks. We sure were surprised by the view!!

Room 452 - Dedicated 2 BR - only one balcony off of the living room - I think since end of the hall the outside design limited the balcony count to one only

BTW, this is a smoking room (I requested non-smoking - got the smoking - they were able to clear out all the residual smell with a 2 hour treatment)

cheers
