Don't know if I'll be seeing it this weekend of not, pretty busy, but I am so looking forward to it. Read all the books in the series multiple times. Even Scott is looking forward to seeing it, as he has read them several times, also. Not many movies lately have made me want to rush out and go see them, but this is one that does!

My husband insists! But between my twin DD's dress rehearsal on friday, my hair appointment on saturday and their recital on sunday plus one of my niece's birthday celebration, I really don't see it happening.:scratchch

Not this weekend, but defintely soon.

This weekend we're hoping to see Polar Express at the Imax. Friends said it was quite the experience on the 40 foot screen.

So who thinks it will surpass HP's opening weekend numbers? I read they hired teh team that did the costumes and so on from The Lord of the Rings.

To excited! :bluebloun We'll have to wait until Sunday - too many plans the rest of the weekend - but I guess we can live until then. I really hope Disney does a good job with this. So many entrenched fans out there! I know I'll be hyper-citical of it - as I was with the Lord of the Rings triology. :sherlock: (wow - I actually found a reason to use that guy!)

Probably not htis weekend, but likely next or over the holidays. I'm re-readign the series and am on book 6 now. Really looking forward to seeing it!

TW - I saw PE at the IMAX. Some parts were awesome, but ny the end, I got really tired of having that little boy's face in mine the whole time. I'm sure oyur kids will love it though!

No way no how! I don't like crowded movie theaters. I like to have some space and my choice of seats.
This is definately a movie that I plan to go see at the El Capitan up in L.A.

Well - the movie was wonderful - they did a terrific job. Special effects were superb, the child actors were perfect, they really stuck to the story, hardly cut anything out at all! Amazingly the theater wasn't full.....
However - the most obnoxious woman and her 2 kids sat next to us. Talked almost the whole way through the movie - TALKED - not whispered. Then her LOUD cell phone starts ringing, and she has to fish all over her mega purse to find it, then procedes to talk for about 45 seconds before telling them she needs to go..... again - not whispering at all
Are these people completely OBLIVIOUS?!?!?! My 8 and 9 year olds have known how to behave properly in a theater since they were 5 when we started taking them......she had to be over 40. Ug. Makes me really want to design a good home theater system.
I gave her dirty looks the whole time - she caught on after about an hour - but still most of the time she was completely inconsiderate of everyone else. Great manners for her 2 kids.......:faint:

I went!!! We finished our chores, or got more done than exprected, and took off last night. Very good! I was surprised also at how well they stuck to the book. Word for word in many places. Very well done!

We really enjoyed it! Even most of the things they added that weren't in the book were actual improvements (like the first scene, which gave historical context and also some sort of context for Edmund's behavior).

Definitely going into the DVD collection.

My DH took the kids saturday, opening weekend. They said it was great! I hope their will be a permanent attraction associated with Narnia. That would be an awesome addition to WDW.
