I'm trying to find a relatively convenient time so that a group of us can see the Candlelight Processional together if we want. Since it seems that there's already something planned every night, we'll have to work around it, so see who's maybe available because they're not doing the evening's event. Like on Tuesday, after Chef Mickey's dinner, MVMCP is planned. Is there anyone not going to that who'd like to do CP at 8:00? Or (I know, for some people, this is unheard of), is anyone not doing Off Kilter Monday nite? Or do you think that if we went to the 6:45 showing of CP, could you get to Off Kilter for 7:30? Any other ideas, comments, suggestions?

If you walk fast, I think you might be able to do both.
I've done the CP two ways: one with an included dinner. Still had to wait in a fairly long line to get seated. Three times in the standby line: once, I just walked into the line while it was moving , so no wait. Once, before the line started to move, tho it wasn't very long, and once when there was NO line (how did I manage that.)

And the funny thing is: all of these times I had about the same seat!!!!!.
I also watched it from just outside the seating area when I knew I couldn't stay the entire time. Still good. This might be the option if you can't bear the thought of being late to OK.

If you want to do a 'sign up' thread of interested people...put my name on the list.
I can do it before OK!

I think it's going to be a mad rush from CP to the Off Kilter stage, I doubt you'll make it on time to the 7:30 show at Off Kilter if you go to the 6:45 CP show.

I guess what makes the most sense to me is to see who's interested in CP. If no one going to Off Kilter is going to CP then there's no conflict.

Another option is to do it the same night as Off Kilter, but to catch the 5PM CP show. Yes, there will be about an hour to kill between CP and OK, but you can meander through World Showcase on the way to Canada, catch some of the performers, or maybe even stop at the Rose and Crown for a drink. I'm sure some of those going to Off Kilter will be there prior to 7, so there will be time to chat before the show. :bigear:

I think you're right, Mar. Last December my sister and I got there 45 minutes prior to the start of the show and the lines were ghastly. The end of the line did not make it into the theatre. Since we pretty much figured that would happen, we just stacked out a standing view, and got to see it without a seat but without a problem. Even though the pm show is much prettier (IMO) with the lights and all, it would be extremely difficult (again (IMO) to do both. I'm sure it could be done but you'd really be hustling. Not my style!

We have never taken in CP and then OK back to back.

But we have taken in the last CP performance and tried to make it around to where we watch Illuminations and you almost have to run. :coolcar:

I would be interested in going to the CP. OK sounds fun and I'd like to do both but I've never been at Christmas and not sure if it will happen again ... so maybe CP should win out.

Simba's Mom are you still considering going?

Sure am! I'll probably go several times since i'll be at the Epcot resorts (making it easy to get to). Last time I saw 2 different speakers. If I'm the only one going, I've gotten just as good a seat just by showing up at the end and looking for a seat.

As much as I enjoy sharing things when I am there with friends and family, there are a number of advantages to going solo and what you typed above is one of them. There's almost always a seat for one at any of those outdoor shows, including (yes folks you guessed it!) an off Kilter show. Another advantage is being on line at an attraction where they have room for just one more and bypassing a huge chunk of the line. This happened to me twice last week on Soarin'. :dancingba Also much easier to get into the front of the monorail, and let's not forget that single rider line at TT. :woohoodan

I went Xmas eve a few years back and with the meal plan the seating was okay .They had alot of prime seats in the first few rows for in case a VIP would show so they stayed empty. The show was good but the rain made it a little hard getting to the seat and good thing we had rain gear. The seats without the meal that people stood on line for a long time was on the sides and not many seats available. They might have changed it since then.
