TOT Group Photo

This will take place the night of the Osbourne Lights, Thursday.

We decided to the ride first, then the lights. Of course if we are open to all suggestions.

The elevator holds 18, I don't know if you have ever seen group photo's, but they are incredibly funny when everyone knows the other person. I think this will make a fantastic souvenir of a memorable week. :sunny:

I cannot tell you how much I want to do this, it sounds like such fun. But I am totally a coward on rides that drop. Put me on Test Track, it's not the speed, but I shy away from coasters and any and all rides that leave my stomach in my throat.

However I must be represented somehow, and my much braver than me daughter Sarah will be joining you all. I hope we can take at least one group shot in front of the ride, so scaredy cat me can be in it. :scary:

I forced my mother on this our last trip. Well actually, I was trying to talk her out of it the whole time we were in line. I just knew she was going to have a heart attack and ruin MY trip. :p I think I made a comment, a grave mistake, about her being "too old" for the ride. :zipit: Well no turning her back!! She made it through fine!

Thanks CB and Laura for signing up!! Hey Laura, how many in your party? Kids going to ride it too? I just hope to gather up 18 so we can get our own elevator!!! Come one come all!

I do understand those with reservations. I can't wait for all of us to enjoy Osbourne Lights together. I have never seen the lights, I can't sleep I am so excited! All this excitement will have to last me, uh, let see, over 270 days until my next trip?? :jawdroppi

All it means is that we all have to get our fast passes early in the day. Even tho lots of times in the evenings, both TOT and RnR (less so) are walk ons.
I think we can fit them in before Osborne lights (or maybe meet up at RnR first before TOT...or maybe we'll luck out and Osborne Lights will be on a late night for MGM and we can do everything...over and over an over! Yeah baby!

Whatever is good with everyone else. I think those of us signed up for the TOT photo should maybe get some FP's earlier in day.

Hmmm FP idea might be a good one once we decide on the time. Although I haven't found TOT to be all that busy lately, and we won't be there at a crazy busy time (Busy for DVC yes, but not busy for WDW crowds), so it may not be necessary. But once we decide on a time it sure couldn't hurt to get FPs, leaves a lot less to chance!

Time to meet thoughts:

As most, if not all of the TOT folks are also Osborne Lights attendees,I guess it makes sure to work them both in together time-wise. I have read the Osborne lights stay on after 8PM as long as there are still guests in the park (although they don't let anyone else IN to MGM at that time, they won't kick you out if you're already there).

But there is a really nice show where they play music and time it to the Osborne lights flashing, and I'd hate to miss that. I don't know if they continue to do that after 8PM. Sooooo in order to ensure we see the whole kaboodle at Osborne I think we should try to meet there by 7:30.

Taking all of this into account I guess the TOT meet should be around 6:45? 6:30 seems too early and 7 seems too close for comfort. How does that sound? Please anyone who has any ideas/suggestions/ chime on in! :yes:

Then after ToT we will head over to EPCOT as that is our last night there and we ALWAYS close out with Illuminations.

Mar, the times sound good. I agree, I want to see it with the music myself, it will be my first time seeing them on in true form. I have only seen then in a very rough early opening (like 1/8 on, no music and workers everywhere) , and I have been dying to see them in their total glory.

So 645pm good with everyone else? The park closes at 8pm, right?

Regarding FP's, I tend to have a little worse case scenario thing. If I have the FP's, won't need em', if I don't have them, we usually need them. Every one do what they best feel comfortable with. :)

Back in '03, Karen & I were there when they had an annual passholder night for TOT. They were doing special nights because they had just started the latest random drop sequences.
Anyways, they had both TOT and RnR open for AP's during the afterhours special event. We got in a total of about 12 rides combined for the two rides and still had time left over to keep riding. That was such a blast!

Will probably not be joining all for the Osborne lights after- Will be surprising DS with a Kitchen Sink for our last night- I think it would be best to do the Kitchen Sink AFTER the TOT drop than right before! :hurl: :D
