Due to Alison's unforseen cancellation of her trip, kathyseb and ron have agreed to take over this event.

According to Kathy (from post #48),

"Hi Everyone,
Ron and I are going to TRY and fill Allison's shoes and host this event.

Allison was planning on meeting for Dole Whips prior to the tutorial.

The tutorial starts at 12:25 and then we will ride POTC after the tutorial.

It is scheduled for Tuesday, December 4.

I see we were set to meet between 11:45 and Noon.

With your back facing Aloha Isle, Swiss Family Treehouse is to your right.
Directly in front of you will be a brick wall that you can sit on.

Lets meet in the general area of the brick wall (in front of Aloha Isle).
Either Ron or I will have our Owner's Locker purple tee shirt on that day.

We will plan on heading down to the tutorial about 12:10.

As I am seeing that there is a lot of disscussion going on about events. I will post this now. I'm not getting in until the afternoon of the 12/2 so it will have to be the 3rd, 4th, or 5th. Could someone also post the times of the shows???? Is 3:20on Tuesday okay with the group???

At this point in time, the Jack Sparrow pirate tutorials are at 10:15 & 11:20am, 12:25, 2:15, 3:20 & 4:25pm.

I don't know if the times change during the year, or maybe they add later shows during the summer months. But I would imagine that December times would be fairly close to March times.

I usually swear by TGM, but his site has been down for the last day, so according to UG, Dec. 4th is the date to tour MK. So that's the date that got my vote!

And the 4th is the MVMCP if I looked at Stimpy's calendar thread correctly...So we could do the 4th if everyone was planning on MVMCP...And if not, then we could do it during the day, and then we can do someother events that night.

ETA:double checked Stimpy's calendar...MVMCP is the 4th...So Allison, were you planning on doing MVMCP? We can meet up @ POTC during the day if you're not...Or we can meet up during the party, if you are, and be there for the group picture..

Having it in the day, before MVMXP would allow both the party goers AND the nonparty goers to do this, altho some party goers might wait until 4 to get into MK (esp. those who don't have an annual pass.)

Hmmmmm....maybe that means we should do MK day on a different day than the MVMXP....but my head gets fuzzy like Pooh when I try to figure out all the pros and cons. SO....for those of you who ARE going to the party...would you want to go early enough to MK to do the pirate tutorial and ride before the party starts.

And then there are those of us who are doing the monorail drinkathon....and tho I sure wouldn't mind attending the tutorial with a little grog under my belt, I really really want to be able to do BOTH.

Since the contemp is so close to the MK, how about the drink a thon in the early afternoon, the pirate meet at about 3:20. Then we could do Chef Mickey at about 4:45-5 and then MVMCP?

Do you all think that's too much? Rozaroo, did you have a time in mind for the drink a thon? I had a request not to do Chef M too late to ensure those going to MVMCP will make it in plenty of time.

Starting between 11:00-1:
The tutorial first
Photo op in front of the ride second.
Onto the ride!
3:00 ish: meeting up for the monorail cocktailapoo. Is this a 2 hour event? (just guessing as I have no idea) Could start at MK monorail station or at the CR and end at the CR just in time for Chef Mickey.

I 'm not so capable of drinking too early on any given day (and for Colorado me, all of this is 2 hours earlier in my stomach time.) I like the idea of rolling into Chef Mickeys feeling a little bit tipsy.

I'm not doing MVMXP, but if someone is doing MVMXP without an annual pass...they'd have to pay a lot of money to get in the park to do Captain Jack. Not sure how many people this might effect, but maybe if those people let us know, we could do something with the schedule.

So yep...any show between 11 and 1 would work....and give us plenty of time to get a photo and do the ride (and yes, we are getting you on that ride come heck or hiwater!

But it certainly doesn't have to be TUesday for me...I thought you chose that date cuz you wanted a day different than the TEA. (I was thinking the MK tutorial on Monday and then the afternoon tea sort of as a midday MK break) But really...any day is fine with me!!!!! I'll be there!!!

I am sorry as well. My daughter's best friend's family is going to be on this trip with us. They are not Disney savvy, and are counting on me to be their guide for a fair amount of the time. Although I was able to work around most of the MO events, I am forced to cancel this one due to not being able to be two places at once. :crazy:

I know you'll all have a blast, sorry to have to miss it. :(

Sorry it has take so long for me to join in on the thread. We were late arrivals to the master list and then I did not want to dominate the most recent topics so I am signing up for events slowly.

We are hoping to do every on-site group event, so please sign the 4 of us up! I am planning on Monorail, MVMCP, and Chef Mickey Tuesday, so if I can put in my 2 cents...I don't think the last 2 times are that great for us. I would suggest no later than the 2:15 if we do the ride first. I liked CB's plan of doing this on the early side. If necessary though, I think we would rather see the princess with her Captain than do the drink-a-thon. (Actually I am the only one of us who is going on the monorail circuit so I know my DW would rather do this if it was one or the other!)

If it comes to there jsut being too much, Allison, to get it all in one day...then maybe we should have a backup time in mind: I stilll think that it woudl be fun to do the Pirates , the Monorail (and Allison you and your mom ARE doing the monorail drinkathon , no?) and then Chef Mickeys and MVMXP for those who are doing that. If anyone has to drop out because of 'too much stuff that day' then I think the backup could be the day we are doing the GF tea, since it would be easy to get to GF from MK.

So anyone who is thinking they couldn't make the meet as it is scheduled now, just post if you could more easily make it on the day of the GF tea.....and then some of us who can do either day could post that too. Moi..either day is fine!
