Photo Op at MVMCP

If there is anyone interested on trying to get together for a group photo at MVMCP please sign in here. The dates for the first week in Dec. are the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th & 10th. Trying to find out what would be the best date for everyone and not be on the same night as the other events. :santa:

Reason I ask is that some who are going might not want to pay to get in the park earlier than the party entrance time (@4).....Allison is trying to schedule her Capt Jack tutorial meet and I'm thinking that might best be left for another day, if there is anyone who doesn't have an ap in the MVMXP group.

I don't know about us yet about the AP's. Ours expire in May and depending on when we are returning after Dec will determine whether or not we get new AP's then.

Count us in for this, but could someone please explain why we might want AP's for this; and why we should worry about tix for the event this early?

Not sure about having to have AP's except that on some dates AP & DVC members get discounted tickets. This doesn't fall on one of those nights though. Since it's a seperate ticket event, you can't use your AP's to get into the party.

Getting them early...I'm just obsessive! I don't think we really need to get them right this minute for this day. But other dates do sell-out more quickly. Also, if you are planning on sit-down dining in the MK, you can make ADR's when you buy tickets. (Atleast you used to be able to do that, I haven't heard if they are doing it this year?)

Not yet, but I was figuring to do it on Monday. At least we will get a discount for purchasing them early because the date is not a DVC discount day.

Also, any suggestions on a good place to meet for the photo op.

I got my ticket today. Actually I did it on line on the Disney site. I also did the will call and saved another $3.00 for postage. I have to get new annual passes so I can pick them up at the same time.

I was tring to think of a place to meet for our photo op. Do we want to be in front of the Xmas tree, the castle, etc. Any preferences or suggestions anyone?

I'm not going to the party, but I have some suggestions for cool group photos!

The carousel, Dumbo, the POC ride (the CM loader will take one for you if you commandeer most of a boat), same with Jungle Cruise. And hopefully someone will video Xmas Wishes for me!!!!! I'd love to see it!!!

The idea fairy has struck me (repeatedly over the head and I feel abused)
However, it occurred to me that on this night of MVMXP that there will be a Wishes scheduled at 6pm for those of us who aren't planning on paying extra for the party. MK closes for us at 7...and we are slowly driven out of the park after that.

SO...the idea fairy suggested that we might have TWO photo ops and a group meet for WISHES (the early one at 6) so that we can have a bigger group of people than just those attending MVMXP.

I'd be up for drinking at the marathon and then going over to MK (the drinkathon ends at the GF so this would be cake) to.....and this is SO MUCH FUN..take the double decker bus down Main STreet (we act like we are a parade) to my favorite up front place to watch WIshes. We get some pics of the group and then those of us without tickets get to leave while the rest of you get to stay and play and meet up for future photo ops.

Stimpy....if we get enough peeps who like this idea, we could make it a separate 'event' on the main board as there might be a lot of peeps in MK that day who might want to end that day with the early WIshes .

CB....How is 5:30 for meeting for the photo before the 6:00 Wishes?

And do we (the MVMCP attendees) want to meet in other locations for more photos. I will be by myself and I have no special plans so if there is any place you would prefer to meet I am open. Everyone with kids let me know what time would be best for you.

What I would check on, in the days prior to the event is: when do the buses stop in front of Tony's as the park day wears down. THen, I'd suggest that we all meet at the flag pole and if there is a bus that we take it for our MO parade down Main Street. (I have this on video and it is a HOOT). Then we get off the bus and grab a photo in front of the castle and then plunk our bums down to watch WIshes. I think that if you have about 3 more photo op time/places set during the night....maybe finishing off with a ride on DUmbo?????? or the carousel, that you might find that everyone will at least make one meet.

Does anyone know what time they usually have the parade & fireworks?

Stimpy....let's make it 5:30 for the pre Wishes meet and we can set up some more times & places around the parade & fireworks.

Well Gail....the MVMXP should have 2 parades and one fireworks in between, usually at 9:30. And those times get a little crowded ...so you might want to schedule photos accordingly.

The regular WISHES fireworks that anyone can attend are scheduled at 6pm that night.

Ok, I've been trying to schedule around the parade and fireworks times. How about 7:00 at the HM, take a ride after the photo op and the 1st parade starts at 8:15 (according to last year's schedule) in Frontierland. And if you don't make that one (or do both) we can meet at the Carrousel at 8:30 and that will give everyone plenty of time to get to where ever for the fireworks at 9:30. If we want to do any more we can always work that out when we meet for these.

That's was Kim and I's dilemma on another thread. I am going to have to have a bite to eat or I will be toast and curled up asleep on a bench with newspapers over me. :laughing: I think we'll be munching along the way. I just know sometimes it takes FOREVER with bar APPYs.

If our goal is to be in the park at 6pm, maybe catching a quick bite at Casey's or something of that nature. Does anyone know what time CHH will be closing night of the party?
