Several folks have said they wanted to have a breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe. So far I have athenna, micheyndvcfan, Rozzie, and matysgranma (and Tom). Anyone else interested? What's everyone's travel dates (so we can choose a date and time).

We'll finalize the details later (including the exact number of people, and if any are children). But we should first concentrate on a date. I'll keep the list updated.

I'd like to do it if it fits in our short trip but I don't want to inconvenience anyone else so I won't say we are definate. If it falls in the dates we will be there, we should be able to do it :)

Thanks to Laura's post elsewhere, it looks like most folks will be heading to WDW on December 2nd (http://www.mouseowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6728). What say we kick off the Mouseowner's gathering with breakfast at WCC on December 3rd?

How about 9:30 for breakfast? That will give folks who aren't staying at VWL (and won't have a car) enough time to get there.

Keep posting if you want to attend, and let me know if the date and time will work for you.

That sounds great. We will be staying at SSR and will have a car, so if anyone else will be attending they are welcome to ride with us.

I think this would be fun, and I'd like to join, but was also thinking that it would be a good morning for the SEgway Tour...and can't do both! (was trying to get Stimpy on that Segway and she's only around Mon Tues and Wed...Guess I could plan the Segway Tour for Wed, so if she breaks her neck...she'll just be going home anywho.....:shhh:

I'd like to go from breakfast over to MK I think...it would be fun to go from the WL by boat!!!

Colorado Belle

Hey Rita...
add me to the list!
And it seems that it might work to link this with the Captain Jack tutorial and POC ride at MK, since it's so easy to get to MK from WL!!!

According to the PS Calculator, I'll be able to make our breakfast reservation on June 6 (or actually on June 5 if I base it on my check-in date). Please double check your numbers.

If you're now not going to be there, let me know.
If your party size has changed, let me know.
Also, when I recently called to make a reservation, I was asked if there would be any children under the age of 9. So if you've listed children, double-check their ages for the December 3.
Will anyone be using the DDP for this?
CB, how many in your party?

Our 2 kids will be 3 and not quite 1 yr old. No DDP for us. THX for taking the lead on this!

Rita, we're going to have to pass on this one. Changes in plans now include DD and DGD. We'll be keeping CM's for dinner, but breakfast may be too hard to wake up for.

I'm trying to make the breakfast reservation. I called WDW dining and they transferred me to group dining. Group dining said I had to call Wilderness Lodge to book it and gave me the number. I left a message with the number they gave me, and also called the Manager of Whispering Canyon Cafe and left a message there as well. Hopefully someone will get back to me today.

I just spoke with Jamie at Whispering Canyon Cafe. They can't accommodate a group of our size at 9:30. They can do it at 8:00 am or for lunch at 12:00 noon.

Let me know what you would prefer. I personally think 8:00 would be better. Lunch would interrupt everyone's day. But, of course, I'll be staying right there.

Another option would just be to cancel this all together.

I'm leaving for California on Friday, so we'll either have to make a quick decision, or it will have to wait until next week.

I vote for 0800. That way those wanting some park time can have a early start.

But like everything else, whatever the majority wants to do.

I feel the same way, whatever is easiest for everyone else is fine with us!!!
I, personally am not worried about interrupting the middle of my day because this MouseOwners gathering is the reason for me taking this trip:flowerfor so I have made no plans outside of Mouse Owner events, they are the priority:wearenumb

Rita,
I think you should make the ressie for 8:00 am and then if a few people can't make it that early...you could size down the ressie at some future point.

Now I have to find someone who will wake me up at 7!!!!! No phone calls from that Stitch guy for me...I'm holding out for Captn Jack!

ghost1000
06-07-2007, 05:54 PM
I called and left a message that we want the 8:00 time slot. I also told them that I leave for Disneyland at the crack of dawn tomorow. Hopefully they'll get back to me today.

We are confirmed for breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe on Monday, December 3 at 8:00am. I made the reservation for 22 people (18 adults, 4 children).

By the group reservation document I received, we will all need to order the breakfast skillet.

Please let me know if anyone will not be able to make the breakfast, and I'll take you off the list and advise the manager who booked the reservation for us. The list (as it stands now) is in the first post.

Hey, does this mean Dh can't do the pony races??? :ROTFL:

The pony races are usually only for children. But twice I've seen adults riding a pony around the restaurant. One time was a group breakfast that I coordinated, and one guy from our party accidentally spilled another group's cream as he was delivering ketchup to that table. As a punishment, the server made him ride around the room on a stick pony. I might add that he had the biggest smile on his face while doing it.

The second time was with friends. We went there for a breakfast birthday celebration, and they made the birthday girl ride around the restaurant on a stick pony.

For those of you who have never been there, here are some suggestions from All Ears Net that can be used to inspire your server to engage in tomfoolery:

Wear a Hat or T-Shirt from Universal or Sea World
Ask your server where his 6-shooter is
Tell your server you spent the day at an attraction outside of WDW
Tell the server who's birthday or anniversary it is
Have your kids "egg him/her on"
Have one of the males in the group ask where the restrooms are
Challenge your server to a pistol fight and ask for a gun
Claim your straw is not long enough
Chew gum
Ask the server where you can buy some chewing gum in WDW

You'll get the idea once you're there.

For those of you who will be joining us for the breakfast, I already lined up my favorite server (Ken B. Crasy aka Chad). I had a breakfast at WCC last week, and told him I would be back on December 3 with 20 of my closest friends. I even gave him the time. He actually brought the manager out to talk with me to make sure I wanted him to be our server (as a joke). We'll probably have two servers, that's the way it worked last time I had a large group.
