I am still thinking about it, part of me says go for it,:crackedup the other part says, its to much money for a short cruise by the time i add airfare .
Does the price also include ground transfer & insurance ? If so i wonder if it would be cheaper if we refuse the ground transfer & insurance ?

The price does NOT include ground transfers and insurance. It DOES include tips.We are teetering about going... It kills me that for a bit more than the member 4 day we could do a double dip 7 day. Yesterday it occured to me that most of the really cool DVC stuff that we would want to do on during the cruise, we might not be able to make anyway. SUre our girls will be in the clubs, but the boy is a wild card.. he really is... will he be potty trained... will he go to the clubs without mommy....., and it is too far out to speculate how he will be and if we need to cancel, we would be the proud owners of 710 reservations points. Fun huh..... lol So as of today, I dont think we are doing it, but then again I have talked myself in and out of this cruise 12 times already. But yesterday was the first time I thought about what those 710 points could get us.... two 2 bedroom villas at HHI this summer and some time at BCV in Oct for F&W.... and then BANK some points... I know I know... who would of thought.... lol Sucks... I really wanted to go. If there was a way I could make a girls trip outta it, I would. Hmmmmmmmmmm
I don't see a cruise in our future for some time. I'll wait until the youngest (yet to be known!) child is old enough to truly enjoy it.

We wont be doing the member cruise until our kids are old enough to be left behind! :bluebloun Truthfully, I love the Christmas season so much that I am willing to pull the kids out of school for it, but I can't justify 2 weeks for a cruise. So, until I am willing to give up Christmas, its not going to happen for us (which might be ummm never) unless we can leave them with their grandfather and until PJ is MUCH older (4 or 5) that isn't going to happen either for a several day trip.
I am always jealous when I see others going though! It does look like a blast!
*whispering* nono - Did I miss some big news or are you simply speculating? :)
We managed a DCL trip once, when DS as 2 AND FREE and DD was pre-school age. We took advantage of a Land/Sea promotion for an October trip about six years. I think they were just launching the second ship and it was a great deal at the time.
To say we loved it is an understatement. And we didn't even get to Castaway Cay due to some nasty major hurricane (Hugo?) but it was still an awesome trip. To this day we recall our waiter, a charming Hungarian named Zolt who always seemed to be there with whatever we were about to ask for. In our house, when someone does something extraordinary for someone else, we all say "Why thank you Zolt!"
But, now with both in school and prices what they are I doubt we'll be doing another Disney cruise any time soon. Though we've priced other cruise lines and have been very tempted.

Actually, we are preparing our paperwork for who we believe will be #2...and with husband's travel schedule, this baby who we'll bring home in early 2007 is likely to be #2 and not #3! So, if we do manage to squeeze in a bio one, it'll likely be the caboose to our family! And, I'll :faint:

So Laura (the Other Laura) -- what is your final decision? Are you going to go for it tomorrow morning, with multiple phones in hand? Or are you going to go the safer route for the time being?
Personally, the thought of 710 reservation points scares the living daylights out of me!! :holymoly: :holymoly: :holymoly:
I think I'd require a few stiff drinks before I'd be able to make that phone call! :ale: :ale: :ale: :ale: :ale:
But if you do decide to go for it, good luck!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Just too many points for us - one day we will go on a Disney cruise - it will likely be a cash year
cheers

The points for the cruise are outrageous so we rented out our points to pay cash for the Dec cruise and we had extra money after the fact. We rented out exactly how many points it would have taken to go on the cruise and had over 2000 dollars extra after we paid for the trip.

We booked too! Is this the official "who's going" post or do we need to sign up elsewhere? I love knowing who to look for onboard.:)
All the best,
Shontell
No members' cruise for us. We are going in 12/06 for a 4 nighter before heading to WDW.
