Anyone going to see Rent today?

I saw RENT a few years ago when they were touring and came to Norfolk. Constantine Maroulis, from American Idol, was in the performance that we attended. Didn't care for him in AI, but he was good in Rent. It was great show and I can't wait to see the movie.

Anyway, I get off work at noon and want to go see one of the early shows... however, I have been advised by dbf that I have to wait until he gets off work at 6pm.

So, I guess from 12-6pm I can work on fixing desserts, etc for thanksgiving.

Ok, RENT was EXCELLENT! And of course I'll have the songs stuck in my head for a month or two... (five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes.... how do you measure... measure a year...)

The only disappointing part was that some of the scenes from the broadway show were cut from the movie. A friend of ours went with us to see the movie last night and at the end she mentioned that the movie was great except for one scene that was really dumb. When I explained to her that there was actually a part right before that that wasn't in the movie. I told her about that scene and she was like... "OH... now that scene makes sense!"

Regardless, we still loved the movie! We'll have to go see the touring production when they come early next year too! :)

Oh, and for those that might be interested in seeing it, the cast that plays the characters in the movie, except for maybe 1, are the originals from the Broadway production!
