We have enjoyed great breakfasts from room service at least once during each stay at VWL,Paradise Pier DLR,and Disneyland Hotel DLR, all at a reasonable price. As we have always stayed in a studio at VWL, the option for room service was appreciated. Also at the DLR rooms. While staying in a studio at Saratoga, we arrived late after the gift shop/eatery/grocery had closed. We didn't plan ahead and there is no room service there, so we got up early enough to go out for breakfast. Not a problem, but room service might enhance SSR. We bought add on points to be able to get a kitchen... I mean a one bedroom, each time we travel to WDW. The only downside, is now I have no excuse to order breakfast from room service, especially as the other half likes Eggs Benedict (not on any room service menus), and darn it, all the ingredients are available right there at all the DVC grocery sections.
We have never ordered a late pizza at any DVC resorts, has anyone had one? Are they good?

We love to eat breakfast out; we don't let our kitchen in the villa stop us:beaniepro Of course, we do eat some breakfast meals in, isn't it nice to have options...
I haven't ordered late night pizza, but I have heard you can get pizza delivered to OKW from off site pizzerias also.

we are not big breakfast eaters, so the kids just grab something quick. Then we usually eat lunch early. We never ordered room service, or really got the use out of the kitchen except christmas breakfast & dinner last year during our family reunion. shees, i cooked so much in that one day, im good for the next 10 years cooking down in wdw.
we dont like wdw pizza, so that is really the only meal we eat outside of wdw .

^ Yep, I don't want to be chained to the kitchen, so I like the option of room service when available if we haven't eaten out. I have to say we hate Whispering Canyon, for the noise, but love the food, so we do take out when at VWL. I'm probably better off getting a frozen pizza to heat for the late nite munchies.

another late ite munchies, choc. chip cookies baking with a glass of milk.
I think we get so busy and involved all day long , it is just easier for us to grab lunch & dinner out, especially with all the great restaurants on disney property. I guess everyone life style is different and we all do what works for us. Its great to hear though what people do differently. How is the room service, do they have room servic in the villas?

^ Wilderness has room service, Saratoga doesn't. I think only villas that have restaurants have room service. I'm hoping that Saratoga adds a restaurant, other than the refurb of the lounge.

I can't imagine they would add another restaurant beyond the upgrades to the Turf Club. That would make for 3 dining locations for an 800-room resort with kitchens in every room and DTD a close walk for many guests.
Of course that doesn't mean they won't add room service from the Turf Club. When info about SSR was just trickling in via the Member Clubhouse about 3 years ago, they actually published that SSR would have room service. Not sure if that was a misprint or if they had a change of heart after discussing the logistics with food service management.
