There's a chance we may be going to WDW next year in late January with friends. I suggested that we all attend the Pirate & Princess Party if we go. They would get their own room (probably the Poly or the Contemp) and we would be staying at OKW. If there is a DVC discount offered on the party next year (for a date that we would attend), can we buy tickets for them as well, even though they're not staying in our room? It would be a total of either 4 or 5 tickets (depending on whether they bring their daughter), which is well within the purchase rules (well, they're more like guidelines).

When I purchased the MVMCP tickets in for the discounted night in December, I ordered 2 and only gave my name. I got a will-call number and retrieved the tickets through the automated machines at the TTC, so I think you could do it.
The only caveat I can think of is that rumors are the Pirates & Princess nights aren't going so well attendance-wise so it might not be back in its current incarnation (or else look fairly different). Maybe it will pick up as President's Day gets closer, but this really is a hard time of year to get people to the World with school, etc.

FYI, I was able to pick up our Will Call tickets this year at the OKW concierge desk when we checked in.

Then -- yes, you can buy their tickets with your discount (within the purchase limit)

uh-oh...I purchased dd and her friend tickets for the P&P party next week using the DVC discount. Will they have any problems picking up their tix at OKW without me there? Was this a big no-no????? Will she need my blue card although the names dont match???? TIA- :)

Laura, if you have the will call number and name, they should be able to retrieve the tickets from the automated machines at the TTC. If they can get them there, I imagine they can also get them from OKW without any problems. ("I'm picking them up for my mother . . .") If there's an issue ("we need your mother's ID") just go to the automated machines. . . I doubt it's that complicated, though.

I just gave them my Will Call number. I don't think they asked for any other identification.

Thanks for the great info Dirk and Rita! :) I am hoping dd's trip goes as smooth as silk so I am probably over-worrying! :D

Also Laura DD still lives in your household right? - should be no prob -- but if you think of it, I would have her carry a dvc id card.
