Before And After Members Cruise

What are your before and after cruise plans?
Im staying two or three days before the cruise and four days after.Im stiil not sure what resort im going to stay in on the front side of the trip but the boardwalk or beach club will be on the back end of the cruise.I see other web sites have gatherings going on before the cruise.I will check out some of the parties but im not into the everyone wearing the same bright colored shirts since we are all members that's all that counts.Are any of you going to a gathering?

For now these are our plans:

10/20 Fly into MCO & staying @ Port Canaveral Residence Inn
10/21-25 Cruise
10/25-26 One night @ Vero Beach
10/26-28 Road trip to Key West
10/28-11/2 SSR

We are considering arriving a day earlier and visiting the :chewy: :yoda: :ewok: :darthvade space center.

Of course since we just bought an add-on :woohoo: & now have another 112 points available on our Oct 07 use year, these plans may change.

I am not going on the cruise:boohoohoo but I think a stay at VB just before or after a Disney Cruise is SWEET!:yes: Have Fun!

Can you tell me who's planning gatherings. Is it on the disboards?

Dis boards is having one at the Beach Club are you attending?Im surprised DVC is not having a party the day before the cruise.Are you staying on property before and after?Are you taking the Disney bus or are you going on the bus that the Dis board members are going on.They said the bus was full and it looks like everyone will be wearing those lime green shirts.Im booking the Disney cruise bus but im still not sure what resort im staying at.I booked my plane tickets so im about 90% booked.I have my 8th annual 4th of July trip first to get thru and im all booked for that one .

Thanks, I will have to look over there for the information. I think we will take a car service since there will be 6 of us. The Disney Cruise bus is $67 each way which is crazy.

We try to get the most out of vacation since we only go once a year. A guess we are a little crazy:

6/29-7/1 Disney Boardwalk (our first time we can not wait)
7/1-7/6 Vero (our first time)
7/6-7/8 Radisson at Cape Carnavel (we plan on visting the Kennedy Space Center)
7/8-7/12 Disney Cruise (our first)
7/13-7/15 Disney HH

I am just glad that there are no other non WDW DVC resorts or I would have to find a job that gives me longer vacations

I am driving to the Port the day before and the day of. Then we are driving home afterward. :) Pretty exciting huh?

Plans did change as predicted. We decided it was just too much to do the road trip with everything else, so now it's:

10/20 Fly to MCO & staying @ Port Canaveral Residence Inn (free-booked w/ pts)
10/21-25 Cruise
10/25-28 Vero Beach (maybe do a day trip to space center :fingerscr )
10/28-11/2 VWL
11/2-3 Fairfield Inn at MCO then fly out at 7am (also free w/ marriott pts)

We had to take an early flight home so we decided to make the most of our last day at WDW and make it a full day.
