Chicken Little - Week 3 Box Office

The chicken hit the wall this week, falling over 50% compared to Week 2. Still, CL is just shy of the $100 million "blockbuster" mark. It will be interesting to see what the numbers do next week. Hold stead or another big drop?

1. "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," $101.4 million

2. "Walk the Line," $22.4 million

3. "Chicken Little," $14.8 million

4. "Derailed," $6.5 million

5. "Zathura," $5.1 million

6. "Jarhead," $4.8 million

7. "Get Rich or Die Tryin," $4.4 million

8. "Saw II," $3.9 million

9. "Legend of Zorro," $2.3 million

10. "Pride and Prejudice," $2.1 million

That's a pretty big fall - but it's competeing against Harry - maybe it'll recover next week after the newness of the new Potter movie wears off.... We still haven't seen CL - I want to find out which movie by us has it in 3D!

I think Chick Filet will rebound somewhat during the Thanksgiving holiday school break. HP will still rule, but I think Jonnie Cash will fade.

My guess is that by the time Narnia comes out, CL will be somewhere north of 150 mil but under 200.

It'll come back. There's no competing with HP. Similar age group (minus teh very young). It'll come up though.

I think CON will out do HP at the box office on opening week for that movie I know we have our sights set on opening night for that one it is my DW's b day on teh 9th so it is dinner and a movie night and we are going to see it. We have the original BBC box set of the 3 shows and we love t so do the kids. An interesting bit of useless info but maybe there are some Johhny Cash fans among us. Johnny Cash was married as everyone knows but what most people don't know is that she was from London Ontario where I live he met her while doing a show here.
