I hope that I am in the correct place, because this is the first time that we have posted anything. My family is looking to visit Disney World for the first time. We are going to be visiting from October 13-20. If any one has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks for your help.

I guess I should give a little more information. We do not have a specific place that we have to stay, but we would like get a place with 2 bedrooms. We have 2 family's. My family: Mom, Dad, 5 year old and 1 year old. My brother's family: Mom, Dad, 8 year old and 1 year old.
So 8 people all together, that may grow by 2 if Mimi & Gramps decide to come.

Thanks

You may well wish to visit Epcot during your visit as the Food & Wine Festival will be going on! Lots of yummy treats will be offered for sale around the World Showcase Lagoon during this time!

Welcome to MO's and please feel free to ask away on any questions you may have! :)

Wow now there is a group indeed!

The largest DVC units are at Old Key West, the rest of the resorts have roughly the same room size for a 2BR - configurations consist of one king bed in the 'master' bedroom, washer/dryer, a bathoorm area with a jacuzzi tub, an adjacent bathroom area with a shower and a commode small room with a door - there is a kitchen with a dining'living area with a sleeper sofa and then the 2nd bedroom consists of either two queen beds or a queen bed and a sleeper sofa.

I think the most important factors in deciding where to stay are:

*Budget - what can you afford
* Resort theme/decor - is there a specific theme that you like or do not like
* Special considerations - for example Handicapped Access, Ground Size, Easy access to transport or cars (especially with so many young ones and/or grandparents along) - for example for your group if you stay at Old Key West, you would likely want to be on the ground floor so as to avoid dealing with stairs n strollers :sunny:
* Location - which theme parks if any do you find the most attractive
* Transportation - will you have a rental car(s) or will you be planning on using Disney Transport

Do not want to go into a long essay without further information - suffice to say you will get a motherlode of info and feedback here as you develop out your trip planning
