Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself and my family to the boards. My husband and I just purchased our first set of points from DVC this past week over Christmas and are so excited. We have been looking at the DVC for 15 years, but never bought in because at the time we only lived 30 minutes away. I only wish that we had.
My family consists of me(40), DH(39), DD(17) and DS(13). My children grew up at Disney and were there every weekend. I have been going to Disney starting the year they opened in 1971 and many times after that. My parents use to rent the old treehouses and fairway villas at the Disney resort for 2 weeks at a time and the whole family would go. Such wonderful memories tied to WDW. My husband loves Disney as much as I do and we even honeymooned there about 20 years ago. My husband and I are also old castmembers. He was a bus driver for about 2 years and I worked at the CBR for a year. Aaawww...such memories.
So our DVC purchase was a given to say the least. There is no doubt that it will be used to the fullest possible extent and we look forward to continuing sharing all those wonderful times with our children and our grandchildren (one day) just as my parents did for us.
