I'd like to hear about the good and/or bad of your Character Breakfast experiences. The only Character Breakfast that we've been too is the one at O'Hana...we're thinking about doing it again...is it still good? Or should we go to a different one?
Thanks!

That one was a ton of fun!!! I must admit that Pooh CHaracters at Crystal Palace is my fave, though. Go figure.

We've had great experiences at both Cape May Cafe and Restaurant Akerhaus (princesses). In a couple of months we're trying Ohana. I know that the Ohana breakfast changed within the last year or so. IIRC Minnie used to be the main character. Now it features Lilo and Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.

I love the food at the princess breakfast in Norway (ask243asgdfq34tegq or how ever you spell the name of that reasturant  ).
For me, I prefer family style character meals versus buffets, but I am not a buffet person in general. With 3 kids, I just don't get to enjoy it (up, down, up down...) We did the O'hana breakfast back before it was Lilo and Stitch and enjoyed it a lot as well. Doing it again a week from Thursday. :doublejum
I have enjoyed the Crystal Palace meals as well as the donald breakfast at AK. Both of those are GREAT if you get a "before the park opens" time. It is so cool to wander through the park when it is basically empty :)
So....buffet or not...in the parks or out....do you have any specific preferences? If not, go for the one with the characters you like the best :)

Ooo...if you remember....when you return, could you let me know how you liked O'hana?

We like Donald's Breakfastasauras at the AK. It is lots of fun.
What characters (other than Donald) are there? That sounds fun too!
CP is our favorite!! That was our very first experience at WDW as a family a few years ago and we go back every trip! Love the food. Love the characters. The walk down Main Street before opening is an added bonus.
We have also done...
Ohanas - It was OK. Stitch was great, everything else was just OK. Characters were slow coming around. We will only go back if we were staying on the monorail or really wanted to see Stitch.
CRT - We have been twice. Enjoyed it; food, characters and setting. With the change it is expensive. We really didn't like greating Cinderella in the lobby (my little one who is a huge Cinderella fan really needed to have her breakfast) Needless to say that free 8x10 picture didn't make it to any album.
CM - I had higher expectations for this one. We had a late PS (before ADR's) for my daugher's birthday. The table and floor were not clean. I pointed it out to our waitress and she swepted the coffee off with her hand. Food was good. I think it lacked the ambience without as many people in the restaurant. We might try CM again next trip.
Epcot Princess - The food was fine. I think ours was a little cold. The princess were great. It was nice seeing all the princess in one shot. Also my daughter got to be princess of the day and open the doors.

We've always had the best experiences at Cape May. (But we do go early so we haven't had any cleanliness issues) It seems we have the best character interaction there. The characters tend to spend alot more time at the tables that say Chef Mickeys.
We also like Donald Breakfastasaurus but it gets very crowded.
You know, over the years I think we've been to about every concievable character breakfast and I don't think we've had a bad experience. The food varies from place to place and I think the Grand Floridian probably has the best food. Our kids love Chef Mickey's because of the incredible buzz. Quiet it ain't! This appears to be one thing Disney hasn't dumbed down.

We did Breakfastasauras last June. It was great. Our first full day at WDW and it was a great way to start. The other characters that are there with Donald. Mickey, Goofy, Pluto (I think, I will have to check my pictures). The kids loved it and it was well organized.

We've also done CP a number or times... Have ADRs for our upcoming trip to the Playhouse Disney thing at Hollywood and Vine as well as Breakfastosaurus. Am sure we'll love them as well.
As soon as our daughter grows some, I'm sure we'll go to Norway and to Cindy's (or else my wife will kill me).

For character breakfasts, I have done Chef Mickey's, Donald's Breakfastasaurus, Ohana, Crystal Palace, 100 Park Faire, and Cinderella's Round Table.
I have enjoyed every meal that I've done. I do think that with the price increase, CRT is not worth it anymore. With the others, I think it just is going to depend on what characters you want to see, and what type of atmosphere you want. Also, of the ones listed, Ohana and CRT are served family style and not buffet. Makes no difference to me but, I think it's good to know what each place is like.

We've done
Ohana- loved it the characters there are Lilo Stitch Mickey & Pluto, they have family style -bring all the food to you which I like you can get more food with out leaving the table & worrying you'll miss the charaters, nice parade for the kids also
Chef Mickey- very loud & fun for the kids, buffet has alot to pick from
Cindy's- very nice also family style and the kids really enjoyed this (even my son)

Cape May Cafe is the one my family always requests! Everything feels far less rushed than the in-park meals!

I agree with Kathleena - we had a great brunch at BCV. Although it was a busy day, it didn't seem rushed there, and the food was very good. We had just the right amount of character interaction that 3 adults and 3 kids require.....:innocent:
I know that I've done others in past with my younger friends, but honestly none of them stand out as anything I really remember. My friends really like the GF options but I never joined them there.
I still wish that Akershus would quit being 'all princess, all the time' and make at least one meal princess-free....
