Hi,

Having second thoughts!!! Not really jazzed about going this May. Help!! Maybe just booking in Jan for December is better and then have points to bank? Any thoughts? Went twice this last summer.

Go in Dec we went this past May and it was so bloody hot there mid 90's and 90% humidity just about killed me LOL. We are sticking to our early Dec trips from now on.

I'm doing both this year and last year.
Last Mother's DAy was awesome...the weather was perfect, sunny but not too hot and there were NO crowds...didn't even need fastpasses at all, except a few times on Soaring. Also did IOA and US and there was no one there on Mother's Day itself. At Epcot I enjoyed the flower and garden show...really neat!

Xmas: last Dec 12 for 3 nights. Saw Wises for the first time, all the decorations, the Candlelight Processional, the Osborne lights. WOW. BUt it was cold....I had one sunny warm day at the beach in Tampa and then overnight it got COLD. I had fun, but just in case BRING WARM CLOTHES.

Now I'm going just after Thanksgiving...Illl see the Xmas decs again and this time I'll do Mousefest. And then I'm going in May...a little earlier than last year, but I hope it will still be sunny, not hot, and still no crowds.

Both are really fun trips, but both are different. Early May or early Dec seems to be the key!

Enjoy!

Now I'm going again

I have never been in May so I say December. But then again that is an awfully long wait.

Just thought about the fact that you graduate in May. If you pan to go on to grad school, tehn go ahead with December. However, if you may be entering the working world, go with May. You have no idea how many (or how few) vacation days or holidays you will have. My first year I had 0 vacation days and only received Christmas Day off. So if you'll be in teh workinf world, unless you're entering teaching or a field wher eyou know you will have time off, you may want to go in May.

Sorry, I still feel the sting of the 1st year out of school. Plus, it will be wonderful to kick back at WDW before startng the pressures of a job.

Hmmmm,

Any way you could tweak your times just a wee bit:
How about you stay in a standard view BWV S through Th, 5 mights at 22 for a one bedroom and then:

1.Spend the weekend in a one bedroom condo offsite for 2 nights for $39 bucks, 2 tickets to Magic Kingdom or IOA and you give them your time for 90 minutes

2. You downgrade for the last night to a studio. If its just you and mom, a studio is still good.

3. You go both in Dec and May and get a studio for 5 weeknights each time

4. Colorado Belle shuts up and lets you do what you please!!! :goodvibes

I'm kinda cheap with my points: I'd rather be in a studio and have a BW view over a one bedroom. I like the OKW one bedrooms tho, better than their studios. I like to jiggle my times to get the best low points and that's when I upgrade to a one bedroom.......but that's just me.

It would be nice to go for TWO DIsney trips tho. Where do you come from? Can you drive?

Hi,

Can't do both trips. but I could spend half in a studio. That with 151 points in instead of 196. Yes we drive, live in NC!

Wow it is mandatory as far as I know for employers to give you 2 weeks holidays when you start a job here. I could start a job and 6 months later take my holidays for 2 weeks and they are paid.

Ya I thought it was crappy only getting 2 weeks compared to european countries but by the looks of it we don't have it to bad. If I get my promotion I go up to 5 weeks after I transfer to the new department. I have only been at the job for a year in Feb and it will mean a big pay jump and more holiday time.

Been here 7 years. Up to 18 days and 6 holidays. If I make it to 20, I think I get another week. :hammer:
