Cocoa Beach/Cape Canveral recomendations?

Looks like I'll be back on property in January to do some more work. I understand that there maybe a launch at Cape Canaveral Air Station on the 11th that I'd like to try to see. Has anyone here gone to the space coast for a launch and found a hotel/motel that was beach front and as close as possible to CCAS with a great view for launches?

We stayed at the Holiday inn ocean front at Cocoa Beach in Dec 03 it was ok you could see all the ships at teh port but I couldn't see the Launch area at all for Kennedy. That said I am sure from standing down on teh beach during a launch you would be able to see it.
