Folks will soon note changes at all of the lounges at WDW. Due to a recent contract, a common supplier has made it possible for the drinks menu to be standardized (mostly) . Lounge menus will offer specialities by lounge -- but usually only 3-5 drinks that once were offered at those lounges.

I understand the benefits from a business POV -- but honestly, this makes me sad. Over the last 20 + years I've enjoyed the unique qualities of many of the lounge offerings. If this practice stays in effect, I'm concerned that many wonderful drinks previously offered only at a specific lounge will leave the memory of those F&B CM's working there. In a few years, asking for a Monorail Gold at the outer rim (CR), or a Gator tail at POR maybe met with expressions of confusion by the bar staff. In a strange way, I see this as a loss of tradition -- and that always makes me sad. Your thoughts?

edited to clarify this (for the moment) is effecting resort lounges only.

Sounds like we should post the cocktail menus so we can take them with us and show the server what drink we want!

It is unfortunate that they keep making a common experience in the name of efficiency...

oh, that is to bad, that is what makes the drinks so special. They go along with the resort theme.

I agree - it's sad to see homogenization in the interest of saving money (not that I don't understand the reason behind it...)

That's why I was so disappointed to see the recent changes to Spoodles breakfast menu among some other changes - it became just another breakfast place, albeit it a good one...
