Which is your favorite? (DVC or non-DVC) And which one(s) dont do a thing for ya???
For me...I love the Volcano pool at the Poly- sitting and sipping a Pina Colada with the Castle in the distance. And I enjoy Hidden Springs Pool at VWL- when I have visited it was pretty much deserted and felt private. (cool bubbles too!)
Not a big fan of SAB- too spread out and crowded- IMHO :)
Whos next????:Pokepoke:

I am not a pool person--does the Jacuzzi in my villa count? If so that's my favorite! :goodvibes

Ever been to the poly pool Allison? Not only is it zero entry, you can see Cinderella Castle from the pool! :howudoin: http://www.stupidguesttricks.com/vb3/images/smilies/wheelchair.gif (http://www.stupidguesttricks.com/vb3/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=1&forumid=7#)

Mar,
I have been on the poly only once for breakfast. Looks like I will have to check out the pool!

I would think the Jacuzzi would count! :) I have yet to light the little tealights that I pack every trip (now in my locker for next trip) but I do pick up a new Donald Duck rubber duckie every trip just for the Jacuzzi! :D

SAB didn't scratch my itch as much as I thought it would... Kids enjoyed it, but they haven't met the pool they didn't like.
Luna Park is fine by me...

I would like the WL pool on a quiet day, but my favorite is AKL. SSR is a close second.

OKW - like both the main pool & quiet ones
WL/VWL - yes both pools are pretty neat -
Polyn - like it - but I think I liked it better when it was deeper.
BC/BCV - love the quiet pool, but as of yet I haven't got to try the SALB - either go with people who hate it, or they go when I am still in the parks or asleep....:bored:

Have not been to OKW since slide installed so we cannot comment there
Ranking:
1) SAB - sandy bottom, great slide, great kiddie areas and slide, deep lazy river - great activities
2) SSR - really nice quiet pools, fun slides, kids love the Donald Duck area, might go to #1 after new interactive water area installed
3) Luna Park - evil clown pool, great bar, fun elephant sprayer
4) AKL - zero entry, great landscaping, lots of fun
5) WL - neat design, with the overlook and concept of the water coming out of the bubbling area in the lodge - nice quiet pool also
6) CR - needs an update - kinda feels sterile
7) All Stars Pools - decent enough pools, no slides
Cheers

Our girls are pool hopping pros and Stormalong Bay has always won hands down. With four girls of differing ages, they did some things together and most things separately. This was the old days, of course, before SAB was banned for pool hopping. The girls loved eating lunch in the Yacht Club Galley, having about three orders of cheese bread. There used to be a super bartender named Helen at the pool bar who made killer pina coladas with a Malibu sinker--her suggestion; not mine. Our only problem was that the pool is so darned big that it would take half an hour to round everyone up.

Non DVC - Poly pool! Great waterslide, kids love it there - and the adults love the atmosphere and bar. Love having the beach right there, the little water play area is nice. My kids thought the "cave" with the waterfall in front was spectacular.
DVC - Well - SAB is fabulous - but also tiring for adults with younger kids - so when my kids are older I think I'd enjoy it more! Although it did make us hang out more with them in the pool, and we had a great time! Oh, and I love the slide there!
After SAB - SSR - my kids LOVE that slide and the zero entry. I have to say - that slide is a kick! I like the compactness of it - DH and I can relax and still see the kids the whole time.
Haven't been to OKW since they added the slide - can't wait to try that in a few weeks - I'll be in there even if it is cold just to try the slide and compare it!

WL- love the main pool, and hidden springs pool. The kids pretty much love any pool with a slide.
SAB- the only area my kids liked was the lazy river and the tiny kids water slide area. They hated the sandy bottom. I think it was because my oldest was not a good swimmer at the time and the sand made her feel like she was sinking and drowning. Maybe when they are older we'll try it again.
OKW- haven't been there yet.
SSR- Great slide! Everyone in the family liked the SSR pool.
BWV- We loved the clown slide. Last time we were there the slide was a little rough feeling to me, seems like it might need to be refurbed.
Someday, I'd like to give the poly a try. I did swim in that pool when I was like 8, so that's been a "few" years ago.

My favorite non-DVC pool that I've been in would be POFQ because I like the design (serpent).
Only been in 1 DVC pool so far, SSR, of course.

I'm more of a "quiet pool" type of guy - dress me in a Hawaiian shirt, give me some buisness/tech publications to read (along with a frozen drink or two) and I'm good for 8 hours! Despite the fact that I own at BWV, I love the quiet pools at OKW best of all. The area music, the 'we're all here to relax and enjoy ourselves' guest attitudes I've seen there make me really appreicate them the most!

I agree the poly is #1 on my list we pool hopped for the 1st time in Sept and went there and since we have little ones & 1 big one the girls (2&3) thought they were soo cool that they could walk into the pool and my son (9) loved the slide.
#2 would be OKW we only went once with the slide & can't imagine it without it because it fits perfectly. My son really loved the slide also and we loved the pool area plus the beach area for the little ones.
#3 would be WL
so excited we will be staying at Poly for the 1st time next week so we can enjoy the pool. alittle annoyed that they are banning pool hopping for that week but I believe it doesn't start til monday so we may try GF pool when we get there on sunday, the monorail conductor told us they had just upgraded and it's considered one of the better pools. we'll see
