Wow! I just booked a birthday party for my youngest at Club Libby Lu. Lowest package per girl is $22.50. Includes dress up, hair, makeup and nails painted, THEN they get to keep the hair extensions (or crown, necklace, headset - which ever they choose), makeup compact, backpack with five items they pick and they end it with a "show". Plus, there is no minimum of girls. I just had to put down a deposit for one girl!

NOW, compare this to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique...
From AllEars -
Crown Package: Includes hair style, shimmering makeup and nails -- $45 plus tax.
(We've done this before and they get to keep the hair extensions or crown along with the makeup and banner for the chest, but WOW!)

We have Bibbidi booked again for NYE and all the sudden the price is killing me.

I'm even wondering about Bibbidi. I thought it seemed so unique, but then I didn't know about Libby Lu. I know there is a Club Libby Lu at DTD at Disneyland. We saw lots of girls walking out of there on our trip last June. Bibbidi now just seems like a more expensive copy.

Anyway, just thought I'd share! :D

Maybe they can put Club Libby Lu in the Western Way "value shopping" area.

I don't know about Disney and retail prices - the Vault 28 store in DTD in Disneyland has prices that start around $75 for logo clothing. I know there's a market for high-end, but I hate the idea of Disney becoming Snob Appeal.

Ya, that whole Western Way project is interesting, isn't it?

And here I thought they built that road for just DH and me. We were literally like the only car driving down it last month. It might not be so speedy once they build it up. Might end up going back down US-27.

And what is up with the timeshares being built there???

typical disney prices, everything costs more. LOL
I just saw some tea that I bought at Epcot for less than half of what I paid. Oh well.....

My daughter liked Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique better than Libby Lu. But if I had to pay for all her friends and a party...I would book Libby Lu in a second.

Nothing is cheap in Mickeyland... But the little girls coming out of BBB sure seem happy:)

What is up with the stuff supposedly coming to Western Way? That's how we come in and it sure would be fun to have more things to do when in Orlando... That route in sure is deserted, huh? There must be zillions of folks still facing I-4.

Am I the only Mom in the universe who actively tries to keep her daughter away from this kind of thing? :headache:

I so hope not! As a dad, I hope our daughter (3 months old) never wants this (because she isn't getting it).

No, your'e not. When we were in DTD last year, our DD 7 wanted to do the BBB thing and when we told her the price, she told us that it was too much. She then negotiated a 25% deal, to get what she wanted and "give us a break".

My DD had her party on 1/14. It was pretty cute! I thought it was a good price, too - they got a backpack and got to pick out various items for it like lipgloss, etc. PLUS they each got a heart necklace. They had alot of fun. :birhdaypa
