Trying to figure out which floors have the largest balcony. We stayed in studio #528 on this last visit. The balcony was HUGE! Now we're spoiled. Looking around we could see that all balconies were not equal.

We will be getting a 1BR in Jan.. We need a handicapped room w/roll in shower. From what we can see on the maps & questions to DVC all of these rooms are in the 30 position (ex. 130, 230,330,etc.) looking out on the quiet pool.

We have emailed DVC twice but have not received an answer to the question of which rooms would have the larger balconies?

Anyone know the answer?

Here's the link to the maps:

Don't know the answer to your question, but from now on I want the top floor. Being on top means the CIGARETTE ASHES from people staying in rm 440 don't wind up on MY balcony.

You may want to print out InstImpres' room chart (http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/beachclub.pdf).

Actually I took all the information with me when I checked into BCV back in May, but wasn't given any choice of room.

Thanks for the link. It didn't answer the question about those rooms in particular, though.

Balcony Schmalcony

I prefer the Michael Jackson method of just dangling the kids out the window so the can see that big globe thingie.

Balconies are over-rated.

From looking at the floor plan and the exterior pictures the HA 1 bdrm (x30) would be located between the two turrets on the right hand side looking from the pool. On the fifth floor it would have a semi inclosed balcony that ran the lenght of the 1 bedroom (2 rooms). The 4 floor (smoking) would only have one balcony. The 2nd and 3rd would have a balcony that ran the length of the unit. Of course the 1st floor would have patios. This room would not one of the few with a deep balcony under the turrets.

Thanks, Lisa!

The rooms seem to be right next to the turrets. The 528 room was under the turrets on the right sideof it, if your looking out at the pool. So, 530 is right next door not under the turrets. But the studio we were in had the door that opened into 530. Would that be for a 1BR or would that be used for a 2BR?

I know this is all difficult, trying to figure this out online! But I appreciate the help!

Yep! I think we are talking about the same rooms. 530 would be right next door to the turret room. 528 is a studio and 530 is a 1 bedroom. They have a door connecting them that if unlocked would combine the two villas to be a 2 bedroom. This would be reserved as a '2 bedroom lock-off'.

I haven't experienced on of those balconies yet. They look great!:goodvibes

Here's a pic of the balcony it was huge! This was a handicap accessible room though. But it was great & now we're spoiled. We were having our leftovers from the Yachtsman on the balcony!

WOW! What a great balcony! I'm jealous (of both the balcony and the romatic dinner! ...even if it is leftovers.)

Lisa, those were the BEST leftovers we ever had!!:woohoodan

and being on a balcony in WDW didn't hurt either!

If you haven't been to the Yachtsman before (& like steak) try it on your next trip, it was fabulous!
