I will probably pick it up this week sometime. I try to buy movies in the first week when they are a few dollars cheaper.

They ran out of the Lithos when we went in for the pre order so we didn't bother ordering it then so we will be picking it up on the 11th.

I guess we got lucky, when we got ours they only had two sets left.

Let me rephrase. While I was out and about during my lunch break I stopped in the local Walmart and purchased my Widescreen copy of Cars.
Is this better?????????? :D :D

I have always found it interesting that we vote for people who are quite often of questionable reputation in a church.
But, the holy shrine of Walmart might be a better place! Elect a new gov. and pick up some diapers - hog heaven I tell ya!

What? Yeah, right, charge me double probably, and all the while reminding what a good deal I'm getting!:innocent:

Just focus on the "good deal" part...it is less painful that way!
I didn't check the paper Erin. I usually do hit WalMart for the $15 DVD (not the double edition set they seem to always have right now that is usually $20). Target seems to be a couple of dollars more. Best Buy and Circuit City usually have the best "enticement" deals going around here, but they dont open until 10 and before work is about the only time I can shop.
Happy Hunting!

We actually picked it up today at the grocery store for 21.95 plus tax so Spence and I went home and watched it after I put the groceries away. I really hope Disney drops the support of the Sony Blue Ray and goes to the HD DVD side I really want to start collecting HD DVDS with the Disney titles being on the top of my list.

I ordered mine today from Amazon for $15. I order just about everything from Amazon. If you spend $25 or more they give you free shipping. I qualified for free shipping since my all time favorite tv show was finally released on dvd-(DON'T LAUGH) Beverly Hills 90210. So I ordered them both.

Sony just delayed the BR player they were working on for another 4 months or so Samsung and Phillips I think are the only 2 companies that have fully functional BD players out. Sony also just cut back teh number of PS3's to be released in NA and in Japan in Japan they are under 80K units for release day and in north america they are under 400K units for release day. Sony is going to lose bigtime with this format. It is also reported that Disney and another large company are going to go neutral rather than back BD 100% which will kill the BD side.

Very good article, but there is another I haven't tracked down yet that has a table of comparisions with two columns ; Now and Future. In several catagories, HD DVD is better Now or tied with Blu Ray, but I believe all the Future specs favor Blu Ray.
One of the biggests winners for BluRay is the availible film library Sony owns and that 84% of all film makers say they'll support Blu Ray, ( some studios said they'll support both formats ) and Sony has stated flat out that their titles will only be released on BR.
This may be a case where both formats survive, especially in lite of manufactures making duel drives.

Got my copy for $14.87 today at Walmart! They used to only reduce the price for the first day, but now it seems like it lasts a bit longer - thank goodness!
Now to hide it better. Charlie saw Curious George in my closet and said, "THAT'S CURIOUS GEORGE!!!" so Santa wasn't able to save that one. Who is teaching that child to read? :p

I tend to agree I think this is a case that there may actually be 2 full formats to choose from that are very viable options for many people. I prefer the HD DVD format plud DVD fab can rip DVD9 disks so if and when HD DVD burners become available I can backup my library of movies and not risk thekids or the wife or the kids destroying any of the originals.
