View Full Version : What up with the Nothing Thread?

Hi, the Nothing thread has been having slow loading and posting issues for a couple of days.
No other threads seem to be having this problem.
Although there is a fair number of posts on the thread, I checked on the DIS and the high post threads seem to load with the same speed as others.
What could the problem be? And better yet, would someone with the technical know-how, please check to see what's up?
Big thanks!:computerg

It might just be too large. On some other forums I read, they have trouble with large threads.

Woah - I haven't been here and went in there today and it took FOREVER.
I don't know about other boards having a similar problem with "high" count threads, but I never had trouble in the monorail drinking thread on the DIS for example and it had just tons and tons of posts.
Hopefully we will get more than a "not happening to me" answer here.

Probably the best fix is to simply start "The Nothing Thread, pt 2".

Where is that horse when we need him?
I am not a good "linker" but maybe someone who is can start a new thread...and put a link to the original in the first post of the new one.
Still seems like there should be a "reason" though.

Just say the word - I'll start Nothing The Sequel.

You have time to reply to a thread..... but not enough time to start one ?
Must be a Dem from Georgia that shop at Walmart.

You act as though the Nothing Thread is a simple thing to begin....again....
For shame The Viking! I so thought you knew betta!!!
You obviously need some remedial work :drillserg
As a general rule, I must have a Yuengling present when posting something of any creative significance. Since an open Yuengling on my exam room counter would probably not be the wisest marketing tool, I'll wait until I have the opportunity to crack open a cold one at home. Or until a Republican is in my exam chair. But I expect it'll be at home, since after today, Republicans may be a bit hard to find. :jumpingbe = happy democrat dance
If it helps, I think you can get away with this flavor ice cream at work. At least I *hic* try...

Ok what am I missing? Is the Horse the only one capable of starting a new Nothing Thread? Are hooves mandatory somehow?? :fresh:

I hate to reveal my secrets but I'll fess up: Google Images. For this one I put in typing horse. Sometimes I get really lucky, sometimes I can't find a really good one. I have to admit as soon as I saw this one I knew I hit paydirt, LOL. :highfive:

Maybe he just meant he was sad? Or perhaps he had a dye job recently? :jester:
Just don't type in "nude horse". That was a confusing and immoral stage in my life.
So, is the Nothing Thread closed already? I just tried to post to it nad it said closed. I thought I'd post a link to the new thread.

As long as you weren't preaching to others about morality back then I'm willing to let it go.
