Dh loves the sushi at Wolfgang Puck's! That's the only place we've ever eaten in DTD -- we don't count Planet Hollywood because that meal back in '01 was just horrific, IMO! WGP, though....AWESOME!

(1) Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast
(2) Lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater our last day before leaving for the airport.
These are the only two places we MUST eat on every trip. We're trying to explore the restaurants a little more. Usually I try and get Fish and Chips someplace, either Columbia Harbor House, Rose and Crown, or Yorkshire County Fishhouse. (however we have a reservation for Raglan Road in December).
Doug also likes to get a turkey leg once a year.

INTERESTING! I love reading about where people like to eat since eating in the World is one of the biggest reasons we go there!
I tried Ohaha for dinner in August when I took my sis and nephews. I loved it...will be taking DD1 and DH there in January to see what he thinks. If he likes it as much as I do, it'll be put somewhere in my top 5 for sure!

Can't say these are MUST eats, but typically we find ourselves:
1) having a turkey leg (and regretting it)
2) dessert at the boardwalk cafe (and regretting the calories)
3) gelato at the BCV marketplace (and regretting not buying more)
4) a Milkabar in Germany (ditto)
5) eating too many McD's French Fries outside of Pecos Bills.

Here's my 5 plus a couple of alternates.
1.) Jiko at AKL. My favorite restaurant on property.
2.) Le Cellier
3.) Dessert from the cart in Italy before Illuminations with a Bellini or glass of champagne on my last night.
4.)Cosmic Ray's- OK It's not the best food, it is kinda cheesy but, it's that true Disney cheesy experience for me.
5.) Character Meals. I have to do at least one character meal a trip.
My Alternates are
50's Primetime Cafe
Beaches & Cream
Pizza from the Spoodles Takeout window after Illuminations

Do you mean the frozen lemonades from the 'machine' that they have at the 'fruit stand' (near the DVC sales center at MGM across from Beauty and the Beast?
I can't stand the Minute Maid ones that are frozen in the container, but the ones I've had at the fruit stand at MGM are yummy! (I just had one the end of Sept so please tell me they are still making them???!!!???)
I don't think I HAVE to go back to any restaurant. I've only been to Jiko's once and I enjoyed the food and ambiance and presentation so much that I 'd like to do it again. I've eaten at WP nearly every trip this past year and I love it, but I don't HAVE to do it again. Same with WPExpress and Le Cellier....all good, esp on the dining plan! I also enjoyed the 'experience' of dinner at the CASTLE and would agree to do that again...even tho I don't HAVE to do it again. Since I enjoy trying new places, I guess I don't feel that I HAVE to repeat any old ones until there are no 'new' ones to try!
If I were to recommend old favs to people, I'd probably give good marks to:
Jiko
WP
Flying Fish
Le Cellier
I'd tell them I also enjoyed Les Chef, CRT dinner at the castle, Cali Grill at the bar, WPExpress for the Chinois salad, free lunch (hamburgers) at Planet Holleywood (came with our Pop package). But as for any restaurant in the World that I HAVE to do each trip.....dont' have one. (But hey, a girl can HOPE to do V&A's every once in a while , can't she?

TOP 5 for Rozzie:
It's doesn't seem like a real trip without...
1. Dole Whips
2. Lunch at Flame Tree
3. Hand dipped milkshake at that dinosaur shack at AKL
4. Main Street Popcorn while watching Spectro
5. Fish & Chips UK
Our favorite places to eat, we try to eat at em'
1. V & A ( a true dining dream but once every 2-3 years to keep it special)
2. Cali Grill
3. Pancakes at Olivia's
4. Tonga Toast at Kona
5. Boma
sadly, LeCellier dropped from our latest top 5 poll. Have a lunch ressie there with mom, to see if it's improved...
Ooops, I guess that's 10. :bagovermy
It doesnt' seem like a real trip for me unless I:
1. Grab a Cosmo martini at Cali Grill and watch the fireworks;
2. O'Hana for dinner, mai tai and watch the electrical float parade;
3. Girardelli brownie sundae after shopping.
These are the things we do every trip, including the golf trips. As for favorite restaurants, there are sooo many that we no longer have a "must do" every trip. Here are my favorites, though:
Flying Fish
Jiko
Boma
O'Hana
Yachtsman Steakhouse
The last one used to be Palio. They had this great mushroom dish with pasta and pine nuts. Veggies would have loved it. :lovestruc Unfortunately, Palio is gone now. Whoa is me.:crymeariv

I don't have 5 "must-do" places. There's just so much great stuff-so many resturaunts, so little time. However, we really try for:
1. Beaches and Cream-either a Kitchen Sink or No Way Jose Sundae
2. French Pastry Shop-Peach Tart or Napoleon (heck, maybe both!)
3. Pizzafari-hot deli sandwich and frozen lemonade
4. BC Marketplace-gelato, gelato, and more gelato
5. AP if DH is with me, Jiko's if I'm solo

5. AP if DH is with me, Jiko's if I'm solo
I've done Jiko solo a couple of times. It seems to be a great restaurant for solo diners as the employees there seem to be very friendly, stop by and strike up conversations.
Ok, let's see:
California Grill
Flying Fish
Jiko
Citricos
Olivia's or kona Cafe for Lunch
and a strawberry swirl from the Enchanted Grove....yum

Hmmm... we like to do the following:
* Eat a funnel cake in America while sipping a lemon granita from Italy on a park bench at EPCOT
* Ohana dinner (it's all good)
* A Mickey Bar (anytime, anywhere!)
* ESPN club for lunch (especially when timed to watch a favorite team / event!)
* Beaches and Cream (LOVE the No WAy Jose!) :yummy:
That said, our newest "favorite" are the dipped pretzels over at Goofy's candy store in DTD. Those are EXCELLENT! We also loved Le Cellier (our first time there this last trip). The kids loved the pretzel bread there. We can't visit Boardwalk and NOT buy salt water taffy - it just seems like a must-do based on the theming, LOL. We love the frozen lemonades over in AK but those Minute Maid things sold elsewhere around the parks are nas-tee. :yuck: And I would gladly go grab another taco at El Pirata again - we thought our meal there was rather tasty and a step away from the usual burger/fries fare.
One place that has suddenly lost favor with our crew - Chef Mickey's. It just didn't seem nearly as good this time. Bummer.
Number one on my list:
My vitamins!!!! :kickingco
Number two:
Artist's Point. As much for the service as for the food. :) :) :)
We don't have any more must dos, so I can't get to five!

I'd have to agree about Jiko...the staff there is super friendly and often chatty. Makes us feel at home and comfortable.
A few trips ago I fell in love with the pineapple floats from Aloha Isle....those are a must-do every trip now, too!

I wouldn't say that we have any "must dos" for every single trip. With the convenience of having a kitchen, I daresay we don't eat out nearly as often as many others do. And when we do eat out, we try to rotate. That said, here are some faves in no particular order:
ESPN Club (DW likes some of the sandwiches on the menu :idontgeti )
Mama Melrose's
Le Cellier
Flame Tree BBQ
Breakfast just about anywhere! (We eat breakfast in the room most days out of convenience, but you just can't beat a good breakfast buffet with hot eggs, pancakes, waffles, etc. We aren't loyal to any particular location since you can't really screw up breakfast. ;) )
