On the morning that you check out of your room (either DVC or otherwise), do you do anything specific to let the CMs know that you've left? Doug and I usually hang the "please make up this room" sign on the door. But I don't think DVCs have that sign.

Do you call the front desk to let them know you've left? Or don't you do anything?

BTW, on the day we checked out of BCV last May, by 9:00 in the morning Mousekeeping had already knocked on our door three times to ask when we were leaving.

no - I just leave!:clappingh

you can call housekeeping (not the front desk) if you want too.

I just leave. We always have teh DND sign on our door at night or until we leave teh last day, as I value my sleep, even thought I don't get so much at WDW. So, if they're paying attention, they'll notice there's no sign.

We usually look for a CM out in the hallway and let them know that (sadly) we are vacating.

They always seem to know when I have checked out....must be the "claw marks" on the rugs that rake down the hall from my room, as I am dragged out by my heels kicking and screaming- ;) or maybe it was the kicking and screaming part that alerts them????:idontgeti

We do the same thing. Love the DND sign.

We let a CM in the hallway know if we can find them - we also use a DND sign on checkout day - once our room door was knocked on before 8am - give us break!

I just leave the room and if there is a housekeeper nearby, I let them know.

Usually, I am out of the room at around 10 on my last day. Sleep till 8 - 8:30 and then finish any packing, have breakfast and hit the parks till I have to go to the airport.
