View Full Version : DDP with non-DDP people?
I have now discovered that a friend of mine might have points for me to use for my November trip. So, rather than staying at Hilton, I might be able to do a DVC resort. We have dinner reservations with some business associates at some restaurants on site. If we are staying on site, we want to DDP. But, we can't blow off these meals. I'm sure this topic has been discussed before, but I will ask again. Can DH and I use our DDP, while the others in our party pay OOP? How would this work? :scratchch

Yes, and it's easy. Just the same as if you were dining with another couple and asked for separate checks. No worries if the non-DDP people eat some of your food either...it just isn't a problem!

Just let your server know in advance that the bill needs to be split.

When DH and I joined CB and matysgranma for dinner at Kona's they were on the plan and we were not.
The waiter told us he had to add 18% tip to our bill.
No big deal for us as he would have gotten a big tip if he had not done that.
