I have seen on several boards that there are Grocery delivery services that DVC'ers can use. Do any of you have any good and/or bad experiences with any of them? We are thinking of trying this out for our upcoming December trip.

I have had one great experience with GG. I will use them again. There are lots of stories out there on the boards. Its hard to tell what other circumstances have led to bad experiences but it seems overall there are positives about all the services offered. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I have used Wegoshop 3 times already and each time, the service was excellent.

What were the "delivery fees"? And do you tip as well? And what happens if you find that your Oreos are open and 1/4 have been eaten??

Thanks...

I copied this from the Wegoshop website:
Shop and Delivery Rates:

Grocery total up to $100.00 = $17.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $22.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $32.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of grocery total + $2.00, shop & delivery fee

They may also add a $2.00 gas fee. In the past, I believe they waived it if they had multiple deliveries at the same "time" on WDW property.
As for your second question. Not sure what would happen. I assume that if you called them and told them about it, they would replace it.

I looked up that site, and was confused thinking it was "shop AND delivery fee" not "shop & delivery fee"... I suppose if I had put basic grammar to work, then I would have realized it would be "feeS" if more than one

Don't feel bad. It had been a while since I used their service so, I couldn't remember the fees involved. When I looked it up, I was confused just like you were. Took a second for the ole hamster to start running in the wheel and realize that is was all just one fee.

How do coordinate the delivery time? I mean sometimes you can check in early and sometimes late. Do they always come in the evening? I just afraid that the cold items will go bad if the room is not ready?

Garden grocer gives you a choice of time delivery- My cold items were stored in a "cold-refrigerated" storage area at the BWV's-

gcbsdad, I don't mean to be rude. But I see that you live in FL. I assume you will be driving to WDW? If it were me, I would do my own grocery shopping. I guess I'm too cheap to pay the delivery fee. We drive and bring much of our stuff from home. The only thing we need is milk, so we grin and bare it and pay the way too expensive fee in the resort store.

No offense taken Ginger. You are right since we live close by we do bring the nonperishables with us but for cold items like milk, eggs, ice cream, etc. I was looking for options.

Do the DVC resorts offer refrigerated storage if you bring your old cold items?

Yes they do. When I have switched resorts and dropped off my luggage at Bell Services to be transferred, they were able to refrigerate the perishables. The only thing I am not sure about would be frozen items like Ice Cream.

We used Garden Grocer on our 1st stay at BCV. Bell Services held our food in cold storage until we were in our room. Will use GG again.
