"No Room at the Inn" - Presidents' Day week 2007 at DVC

So it turns out that my little Bro', the art teacher in Maine, has decided that it might be fun to join us at Vero, where we have already made a preventive reservation in anticipation from mid-week on. I never expected that he and his wife and baby would decide that maybe they'll hit the parks for a day or so before VB.

I called MS last week, and sure enough, no studios or 1BRs available for Tuesday 2/20, and just a SSR 1BR available the following night. We've been on a waitlist for a BWV studio for that night since before the 7 month mark, so we may yet get something there. And I've gotten on the waitlist at SSR for 2/21 and 2/22 at SSR now as well, since that will likely be the first place that opens up.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I still am.

My guess is that you picked President's Week, and that is one of our busiest times of the year. Hopefully it will come thru for you!

I understand that feeling. We are trying to switch from the BCV to a VWL/BWV combo during Pres. Week. I thought call at 7 months day-by-day no problem! I know the drill. Even if we get on the waitlist it should come though in a couple days. :D Well we are still waitlisted for Monday at VWL. I'm also still waitlisted for 3-4 days at BWV for the second half of the trip. I did the BWV waitlist for all at once (not day-by-day) because we didn't want to chance moving twice and it was just to give BWV a try. We are perfectly happy at BCV so if that doesn't come though its just fine.

we went Pres week a year ago and it was very busy we spoke to a CM who told us that most of the northern schools(except us in NJ) were off that week so that was why it was busy. We've decided to do the week before & thats been fine. Good Luck
