there is no big DVC annoucement in October? I just saw another rumor the third Disney ship the Disney Dream might be announced, too.

Is this press event exactly on the 1st? I just noticed it was a Sunday... :scratchch

I know I am probably in the minority, but I don't really care. It is great when they announce new things but I have no faith in the Disney publicity machine. I hope for everyone wanting the new Contemporary that it comes through and for other things that keep DVC fresh but now or a year from now, makes no difference to me.

I'll be flying all day on 10/1 with no chance to check email - I'm with lllovell - no biggie but I think that there will be a LOT of disappointed ppl on the internet.

If I were Disney, I'd do it another day just to catch ppl off guard and really surprise them

No big deal to us if they announce something great if they don't no real loss DVC is great how it is adding to it is a plus but not adding to it doesn't detract from what it is as far as we are concerned.

It's interesting when you think about it. It seems to me that the "publicity machine" for all practical purposes is/has been "people on the internet".
I doubt that there's many corporately who are disappointed in 'lots of talk' however!
The downside risk of this is of course unrealistic expectations not being satisfied, but that's a built-in challenge for any enterprise that continually needs to exceed itself.
