It's easy to join. I got my member papers the other day. I need to log in b/c my CC expiration date is wrong.

We used that for the first time last week, and it was great. We loved picking the car, and got exactly what we were hoping for (if you discount the minivan fantasy...)

We've used National's Emerald Club since way back when we had to pay for it and we've always been very happy. It's probably not the cheapest, but it certainly is darned convenient; after the PHX airport, a multi-hour flight and the joy of the luggage area, the last thing I want is a loooooong line at the rental counter (like the time I tried Dollar on a friend's recommendation :eek: ).

Alreaday made 2 reservations (they were price competitive with competition), they did not get the business on 2 other reservations

Competitive - Orlando March/06 and Calgary July/06
More Expensive - Nanaimo July/06
Really More Expensive - Orlando Dec/05

I now have memberships with Budget, Avis and National Emerald
