Our home resort is SSR and we were told when we bought into DCV that when planning our stay it was best to book your home resort at 11 months to guarantee a room and then try to switch at 7 months. We would like to try OKW in a 2 bed villa as the rooms are bigger and will give everyone more room.
We were wondering what are the chances of a villa being available at OKW at 7 months?
We would be taking our vacation from 13 - 30 August 2007.

Just to clarify are you asking what your chances are for the entire stay (i.e. you would not want to move)?
Cheers

You should have no problem getting into OKW at the 7 month window.

You could also probably get a 2BR at one of the smaller resorts too BWV/BCV/VWL.

We would not want to switch part way through - just to book a 2BR at OKW.

You should not have a problem. If you were switching to the Beach club or Boardwalk then you would want to switch as soon as possible. With Old key west you usually do not have a problem.

Just to verify what everyone else said-should be fine. For several years we'd book at our home resort at 11 months, then switch to OKW at 7 months. We never had a problem. Just this year, we sold elsewhere and bought at OKW and so we now have the 11 month window there. However, I really don't think you'd need more than 7 months.
