I don't know of any special halloween events at any of the resorts. Never even noticed any Halloween decorations at any resorts. (unlike at Christmas in which all the Disney resorts "dress up" for the holidays)

I may be wrong, but I thought that the resorts had posted "Trick or Treat" locations for the night of the 31st only. With all of the people that will be attending the paid MNSSHP that night, I'd be really shocked if they didn't at least have people handing out candy to the other guests.

Seems kinda "un-Disney" to pretend that it's just like any other night.

tjkraz is right--many (if not all) resorts do offer 'trick or treating' as well as some limited events. Also, DTD offers 'trick or treating' and some holiday aligned entertainment. You do not have to attend MNSSHP to get a feel for the holiday (or some free goodies!)

But, like TJKraz already said, this is only on Halloween itself right? Not like the party which goes on all month and even in September, correct? I have been at WDW in October many times and never saw any candy, but I've not been on 10/31 so I assume that's the only day they do it.

Just walk down the hallways, knock on the doors & yell Trick or Treat if someone answers. If you do it at 3 AM, you won't get much candy, but you will get some great photo ops.

That's correct 10/31 only for Resorts -- with the exception that I believe goodie-giving occurs on an extra night or two (ie. 10/29 + 10/30) at DTD -- this may only happen in years in which Halloween falls on a weekend - not sure.

Thank you so much for the replys, I did call Saratoga Springs Resort . The woman told me there is a parade and candy given away on the 31th at DTD. Also she thinks fort wilderness campground has a pumpkin hayride and that the movie they play will have something to do with halloween. :cheerlead So we shall see!
