So many trips and have never been to DTD at night

On our next trip we have a KNO sitter coming in for the evening for the DS's - thinking we should head out to DTD to check out the PI clubs and so on

Is there dancing at these clubs, are there bands or are they more "bar" type of places?

They're mostly dance places with a few exceptions. Make sure you hit the Adventurer's Club (one of the exceptions) and have a Kungaloosh. I love that place.

The only "bar" type place is probably Raglan Road, but that's more of an Irish pub type atmosphere. They have a band and irish dancer to entertain guests at night.

The beach club one usually has a band playing dance music and a DJ when they are not performing. Manequins (sp?) is all DJ with dancers from what I remember (hey, it's been a looonnngg time LOL) There is also another club with a DJ that we went to during the members block party but I'm not sure how it is at night.

I second the Adventurers Club. Make sure to try to get a show schedule. I've seen a lot of people come in, look around and leave since they don't realize there is a larger room where they have some fun shows (like sing-a-longs etc) Even in the main rooms it can be fun. Since it's based on audience participation, the more you get involved, the more fun you'll have.

If I want to go dancing, then I will hit up Mannequins or 8 Traxx. 8 Traxx is 70's / 80's dance music. Otherwise, I'll hang out at the Adventurer's Club or sometimes head over to The Comedy Warehouse.
