I started back to school this week. :bugeyed: It has been 11 years since I did anything like this. It wasn't so bad, yet. I am taking 12 hours.
Any advice for going back to school while still working full-time? Don't forget spending time with the family as well.

Pray, and get lots of others to do the same. ;)
I wish I had more concrete advice, but I know you'll find the balance you need. :dust

Way to go DG! I think the best advice I can give you is keep your eye on the prize, so to speak. It's easy to get discouraged, especially when you feel that there is not enough of you. Just remember that the school thing is just temporary, and it won't last forever. I didn't have kids when I went back to school, I can't imagine how busy your life must be right now!
Good Luck to you! You're going to do great!!!!! :bluebloun

Actually, you are right on the money.
Thanks for the encouragement everyone. The only class that really has alot of work is Greek. I have the alphabet, and 40 or so words to learn by Thursday.

I started my master's degree at age 30, working full time, with a 2 year old son. I graduated at age 32 working full time, with a 3.92 gpa, a 4 year old son, and a 2 week old daughter. Anything is possible!
Just don't "take a semester off" or you'll never go back. I started back last year for the "big one", took off one semester, and I'm now not going back. Here's my advice - don't quit! Don't let anything get in your way. I'm a very motivated person, but can't seem to motivate myself now that I've quit. I kick myself regularly, but I'm down for the count.
GOOD LUCK!!! You can do it!

I wish I had the nerve to go back to school and change careers. Maybe one day.

Hey! As a sorority girl, I can help you with the greek alphabet!
Alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, eta, theta, iota, kappa, lambda, mu, nu, xi, omicron, pi, rho, sigma, tau, upsilon, phi, chi, psi, omega.
And I never thought that would be useful again. ;)

Congrats DG! Since no one else has been nosey enough to ask, I guess I'll have to jump in....What are you "majoring" in. I'm going to venture a guess that since your taking greek, that this is some type of religious degree or training????

You are right Erin. I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Religion. If all goes well, I will start my Masters of Divinity after that.
