Was in Orlando on business 2 weeks ago and made a quick trip to my home resort SSR. Noticed alot of construction at Pleasure Island. What is changing there?

Meg changes planned for PI. One, the West End stage is GONE. They are changing the entire west side entry way, will flow more smoothly from West End into PI.The water side retail shops are gone - Harley Davidson, Sausage Factory, etc. The plan is for more franchised restaurants... hopefully not TGI Friday or Olive Garden types.
Several rumors about Adventures Club & Comedy Shop going away, ( cool, true Disney locatations, but not high profit centers ). Many other rumors out there.

What you are seeing is the PI revitalization project in the works. As KNWVIKING has mentioned, an enhanced bridge is being built between the West Side and PI for better/easier access. They are also building a new resturant, T. Rex, A Prehistoric Family Adventure. All of the shops are gone with the exception of the Harley Davidson store, which relocated next to Mannequins. It was my understanding that most of the clubs would be staying, such as Adventures Club, although I don't think I saw that written anywhere.
Also, there are no nightly fireworks at PI anymore.

There are no fireworks now because of the revit project, but it was rumor there will be a water & fireworks show over the lake, giving SSR guests a great front row view.

Viking,
Where did you hear about the fireworks? I thought they were stopping foreworks at P.I. I would welcome this as I just bought at SSR.
