We leave on Sept 1 for two weeks at BW.

Last weekend my ears started bothering me to the point that I broke down and called the Dr yesterday.

I have fluid collected between my ear and sinuses.

Dr told me if we were flying, he would have told us to cancel out.

He put me on a decongestant for two weeks.

I went back to work and lasted about an hour before I went home.

Slept most of the afternoon and was feeling quite a bit less pressure in my ear drums.

That was last night.

This morning I woke up and felt about as bad as I did yesterday.

Hopefully I will be 100% "normal" (as if I ever was) before we leave on Friday.

Good luck with the decongestants. Hopefully the 2 week regimen will have you cleared out by travel time. Each day should be better!!

Sending Pixie Dust,
Dirk

Pixie dust for you-I don't envy you that plane trip. If it bothers you on take off or landing, you might try what one flight attendant taught me-Mickey Ears! Take two cups, then wet two paper towels with hot water (squeeze the water out so that the paper towels are not soaking set. Then put the 2 cups over your two ears like listening to them. The wet heat will get trapped, steam, and theoretically your ears feel better. Or at least you'll be the hit of the airplane!

Thanks everyone for your advice and kind words.

We leave in two days and I am feeling better.

It seems like my ears are worse in the morning.

We are going to "play it by ear", but I think the parasailing may get put off until our Nov trip.
